Yeah, another poem by Ave, oh great. Rolling Eyes

Based off an old lullaby I'm sure we all used to love. Smile

Strobe lights
Room bright
First face
I see tonight
I hope I may,
I hope I might
Maybe this time
Get it right

I missed you so much, now you're standing right here
Though you hurt me so much, this love won't disappear

Dim lights
Moon bright
Last face
I'll see tonight
I wish you may,
I wish you might
Be the one
I'll love tonight

I've made a mistake and there's no going back
Drowning in tears, watching night fade to black

No light
Midnight
Your face
Won't shine so bright
I know I won't,
But wish I might
Have the strength
To be alright

I'll stare at the stars and their surreal display
Without bowing my head, I'll sit and I'll pray

Star light,
Star bright
First star
I see tonight
I wish I may
I wish I might
Have the wish
I wish tonight

Neither wishes nor stars will make me feel right
'Cause this lullaby can't sing me to sleep tonight

Anyway, beautiful poem, I like the transformation you made to the classic. Very Happy

Another title... Hm... You know, Modernized Lullaby could be made plural and be a good name for a collection of such. xD But back on topic. I went ahead and looked it up on Dictionary before suggesting... Perhaps Surreal Display? That's pretty much what the whole thing is, I think, unless you interpret it otherwise. nod

You're right, Modernized Lullabies, something like that, would be epic for a collection. But yes, I love that name, Surreal Display. I'll put that in right now!
