GOSSIP HURTS

As soon as you can begin to trust
someone always has to break it down
someone comes along and builds a wall
just to make you frown

They beg and plead for you to tell
what secrets you may carry
to feed the gossip chains and
only make you wary

Your secrets spread through notes and texts
you hang your head, a raging gosspip jubilee
your wipe your eyes and ask yourself
How could this be?

You lose a friend because they decided
to ruin your life by telling your secrets
It was their fault, you locked your heart in a vault
And gossip demons lead them to be misguided.
