Senses

Maturity - I wouldn't really say it's mature... low?
Fantasy - Ehh. Unrealistic, I suppose, but there aren't any flying horses or anything along those lines.


Senses

‘Everything will be all right.’
Is whispered into my ear.
I try to believe what they say,
But my ears refuse to hear.

Arms surround me in a hug,
Everything seems surreal.
I want to feel the warmth around me-
But my body refuses to feel.

A vibrant colored picture with rainbows
And sunny rays is painted for me,
I want to see its happiness,
But my eyes refuse to see.

A plate of food is placed in front of me,
But I can’t help but feel it’s a waste.
No matter how much I want to eat;
My tongue refuses to taste.

Vanilla is in front of me-
And it makes me feel unwell.
I remember I used to love smelling it,
But now my nose refuses to smell.

Where have my senses gone?
They used to be intact.
You say, ‘What’s done is done.’
It’s such an awful fact.
