A boy goes to his dad and says, "Father, can I ask you for something? I'd like a car. Do you think I could have one for my birthday?"

"Well, son," the dad says, "I think so. But you'll have to agree to a few conditions. I want you to improve your grades, read the Bible more, and cut your hair."

"Okay! Sure!" the boy agrees with delight.

A few weeks later, the dad asks his son, "So, have you done what I asked yet?"

"Well, you see," the boy says, "I increased my grades from Cs to Bs. And I've been reading the Bible every day! But . . . I didn't cut my hair. You see, in my studies of the Bible, I've been finding a lot of people had long hair! Moses had long hair, Elijah had long hair, and there's even a strong argument that Jesus had long hair."

"Yeah," the dad says, "and have you noticed that they also walked everywhere?"

It's me . (read username) My fave bible verses is that whole little thing about the pharisees when Jesus keeps saying "Don't do [something] as the hypocrites in the temple, truly, they have their reward." Something like that. Couldn't find it, though.
