Amaria closed her eyes again. Rapid flashes of past scenes flooded her mind. First, a scene of her and her brothers while they were young. Beindir was still alive, and Teloren wasn't after her. Then a great flash of white light changed the scene. Now she stood in that disgraceful room, with that bloody knife in her palms, then her dropping it and running from her kingdom. Pictures of her brothers came up here and there. How Teloren had changed. She was fearful of what she would see so clearly of her future.

As if she was already there, she walked through a garden, she supposed a garden in Etohll's kingdom. And out of nowhere, Teloren appeared, grasping her by the neck and dragging her down. But as she tried to escape, they both disappeared. A white light flashed once more, to a scene of bloodshed. Her brother and her, fighting, seemingly to the death. Her knife was clashing with his, and blood had been spilled onto it. She tried to get out of this vision, but she couldn't. Her gift didn't work that way. It ended with her brother raising his blade over her. She gasped and jumped back, catching her breath.

Silently, though still in shock, she nodded. Her eyes were wide. She didn't know what to be more relieved by, getting out of that vision, or Etohll being here to calm her down.
