[RC] I let out a delighted purr and walked into the clearing, ready to play. That is, until Bluepaw mentioned my mother. "I don't have a mother." I announced, almost smugly, not letting any sadness show in my voice.

((Just so we all know, it's not really a bad thing if someone gets negative rep. It can simply mean that somebody didn't agree with what they said . . . ? So please, in the future, don't try to cancel it out by giving two positive rep for a random reason. If you honestly do appreciate the posts that you're giving rep to, it's fine, but don't do it just because you think the negative rep was given unjustly, mkay?

[RC]I stumbled around the nursery, hunger clawing at my tiny stomach. Thinking back to the day before, I remembered the pile of freshly killed prey that sat in the clearing of camp. Licking my pale pink lips, I plodded slowly into the clearing, checking to make sure Bluepaw wasn't going to ruin my fun again, like she had before.

The coast was clear. I made it to the pile of prey and sniffed each peice hungrily. There was a plump sparrow, a good-sized mouse, and a tiny thrush. My stomach growling, I grabbed the sparrow and ravenously bit into it, getting a mouthful of black feathers. "Pfft!" I blew the feathers out of my mouth, an expression of distaste creeping onto my face.

Maybe if I pluck each other off first...I thought, gingerly beginning to pluck mouthfuls of feathers off of the dead bird. The feathers were foul, and sticky, but I knew it would pay off. After the bird had been stripped of it's glossy feathers, I bit into the flesh, savoring the juicy taste.

(R) From the nursery entrance Moonlightkit watched one of the she-kits feed herself. A pang of jealousy surged in her little veins as she stared at the cat. Reality crashed with hope; her father was out and he was the only one who could tell her not to do.

Adrenaline pumped through her little body adn she slinked onto the clearing, watching all the cats with her tiny amber eyes. When not one of them seemed to notice a tiny black kitten scury across the cleearing, she smiled and nearly dove into the pile.

"Morning," she whispered to the other kit.

(I'll reply in like, ten minutes. I'm doing a word war. Sorry for the wait!)

I greedily ate the prey I'd selected, feeling it nourish me and knock the hunger out of my belly. I was only halfway done with the sparrow when my stomach was full, and I knew I'd barf if I ate another bite. What do I do now? I thought desperately. I knew wasting good prey was frowned upon by everyone in the Clan.

I jumped as I heard a voice behind me. I hoped it wasn't a warrior, but I was almost sure it wasn't. The voice was still squeaky and too high pitched to be a warrior, just like mine. I spun around and spotted the she-kit, who had a pretty black pelt. “Hi.” I mewed, flashing my nice white teeth at her.

“Want some sparrow?” I nudged the half-eaten bird toward her.

(Sure. one sec, I have to go remember my cat... xD)

(Awwhh... poor Mousie =[)

(R) Her amber eyes took in the other kitten's appearance and she smiled back. "Thank you," her tone was soft as she bit into the flesh of the bird. Most of her meals were shared with Bramblekit, her best friend and almost brother, so she rarely got the good part of the flesh.

"Moonlightkit," she mewed through a mouthful of bird skin. "You?" In her broken talk, it was obvious she was trying to push formalities out of the way so as not to seem rude.
