It's blog time!
This week started out… not so good. But hey, it got better. It went from realy depressing to somewhat awesome. (: So I'm happy about that; at least I am now.
One of the things which was bugging me was Edmo. Sure, it's a great idea to edit a novel in a month. But it says 50 hours - for 40 chapters, that meant I was spending 1 hour 15 minutes a chapter. I didn't just get bored (it's hard to stare at about 2500 words for 45 minutes, then type the edits up again) I just hated it. I guess I was in a bad mood for other reasons, but it amplified my unhappiness. So I quit.
And I don't regret it at all. If it wasn't fun, there wasn't much point in it. Hey, maybe I'll think about it a month of two from now, or maybe even the summer and think //hey, I should edit this!// And then maybe I will. I got until chapter 23, and that's an accomplishment for me. For now, I'm focusing on IcePets, PixelPuppy, and Twig, as well as getting query letters sent out. For Healers, the novel I failed at editing - but it's not like I'll get anything more than rejection letters.
Anyone wanna be my rejection letter buddy? ^^ If anyone's up to it, they can help me check my queries, and wait anxiously for replies. (But they might also have to be a shoulder to cry on, you know, 'cause rejection letters aren't that nice.) PM me if you feel like helping.
I made a theme for the PixelPuppy forums! :3 And a logo; you might have seen a thread about that. I'm super-happy about that. I think it looks nice - and for once, simple. I have some images that I'm going to be making from scratch, but other than that I'm happy with the colors and everything.
Did I tell all of you about that position at IcePets? I think I did, in my last blog or the one before that. Either way, it's pretty fun. ^^ I get to write stories, and they're put in virtual books. For this week I wrote a 'book of events', a 'history book', and a 'waterlogged book'. You totally should register, right? (Remember that Arianna referred you. ^^)
I bought 3 new Owl City songs just 10 minutes ago! :3 The Technicolor Phase, The Airway, and Tidal Wave. So far I've only listened to two of them, but I previewed them on iTunes. Owl City is awsome. Even though I've listened to Fireflies 113 times… and I've probably had it for, what, a month? 'Tis still a cool song.
I've been doing a lot of reading lately. Does that surprise you? For anyone who's read The Dead and The Gone, I have news! I got Life As We Knew it, which actually is the first in the series - and the third book, with both Alex /and/ Miranda, is already out! I'm ordering it from Amazon soon. I also checked out Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment from the libarary. (Amanda, are you proud of me? ^^) I must admit, I finished LAWKI and I'm only on page 120 of MR, but who can blame me? I've been waiting for it for ages!
There are always these annoying pigeons on my windowsill. I went to bed at 11:15 or something like that on Wednesday night, and they woke me up at SIX. Bah. I have to literally hit my windows to get them to go away -- and sometimes, they still don't. They annoy me. But I think we're getting spikes for my window. My parents are concerned it'll look like I'm in a prison. xD As long as the pigeons don't wake me up, I'm fine.
I got a Stevia plant! See, Stevia isn't apparently legal to sell as a food supplement *yet* in Austria, so my dad got me a STEVIA PLANT! I think it's already dying - I watered it yesterday, but not yet today. -.- I probably should do that. *waters plant* I actually did just water it, and cleaned my desk. I feel accomplished. (:
I feel like a real coder. xD Lol, see, I have both the PHP Cookbook and the Java for Students book on my desk, and they're both like 800 pages long. Each. It's so fun leafing through the PHP Cookbook… the Java book, not so much, but just because I'm not that good at it, yet. I'm sure I'll be a master of it some day.
Ooooh, yeah - I also had Thursday and today off! And a half day on Wednesday, as it was parent-teacher conferences, and now it's staff-work-day. Hah! Plus, my parents say that my teachers said good stuff about me.
There's ANOTHER pigeon on my windowsill. I swear, it's like the 5th one during my blog. And he's a stubborn one, meaning no matter how hard I hit the window he just sits there and goes "whoo, whoo". Great, pigeon, just great. I've tried to tell him to shut the freak up, but he won't listen.

Ratty's right about the watering. xD I had a bean, and beans are known to be easy to grow and stuff, but I stinking killed it because it apparently had too much water.

I don't know how to count how many times on a week... I'm running iTunes on windows. xP I must admit I don't particularly like the program.
