Interesting theories, and both very possible. I would tell you what I think really happened, but the spoilers aren't working. -.- Well, I'll just write it all tiny then...

Well, there's this unaired part that comes after episode 25. It's the director's cut ending of the series, called "L's funeral". At the end, there's a new shinigami with Ryuk, and I'm pretty sure it's Light. So I figure Light'll drop the Death Note down himself.

Yeah, you have a point there. There wouldn't be much of a point to humanity if there wasn't a balance with good and evil (after Light wipes out all the evil) but I still admire Light's optimism, as unrealistic as it was.

I might have posted this before, but.... komoda, I think it was, shadow said that you already like liked light, so I would of had to klone him, or something. So, I did. If that was u, I dont really remember.

OMG. o.0 If that really is Light, that'd be so epic! But I'm inclined to be skeptical . . . because, well, here's a couple notes. XD

1. There was this Death Note show on television once, I read about it either in the encyclopedia or on Wikipedia, and it was about Ryuk talking to this shinigami and telling him about the human world. The whole thing was about two hours long, but regardless, I think that the clip you just showed us, Komoda, is a part of that. o.0 And if it is, that doesn't necessarily mean this new shinigami isn't Light, but it doesn't make me believe so much that he might be either.

2. As Avvy said, how the heck?! XD Because there was that Death Note rule at the end that said that humans go to Nothingness when they die, and the author said this a part of the reason they can never come back to life . . . so unless people were totally contradicting themselves, it wouldn't make much sense to me. o.0

But I want it to be Light. :3 Cus that would be better than the current fate. XD
