He was one of the children raised at Wammy's House, where they trained people to succeed L or something like that. I believe he was third best besides L himself, after Mello and Near, but I'm not positive. Either way, he was a really smart and capable one, so Mello contacted him to get help with whatever he was doing. xD

And he also loves video games. nod
