Teloren wished he could deny the truth in the archangel's words. With reluctance, he stepped to Lazuri's side and knelt by her. He wished he could say something to bring everything back to normaility, but Life nor Death had ever been that fair. "Lazuri..." he murmured. In his mind he was already stirring up a plan.

Lazuri could already feel herself slowly changing, the pain no longer one she could handle. As she gave out her last quick words, she passed out. "I love you, Teloren..." are what the exact words were.

Teloren quickly took a small vial from his cloak and poured its contents down her thoat. He kept the knife at hand. It may be the only chance, and I may not liKe the result. But if it's the way I can remind her...

He cut himself with the blade and let some drop onto he forehead. "Saving what sanity she has left." He pulled out another vial, containing a solid looking black liquid.

Teloren looked grimly at the vial for a moment. "I never said it would cure her." he had a grave tone. "And I think you doubt the knowledge I have of angels." He held his hand out to the archangel, with the vial placed carefully in his palm.

Teloren remained indifferent to the statement. "You don't have to. In fact, consider it wise." His hand was still extended to Tyrael. "But I an assure you it will bring no harm to her." he wished he had the heart to glance at her. "It shall only harm me."

Teloren closed his eyes and bowed his head, letting an image of the firs Lazuri he had met slip into us mind. "You don't think I love her?" he snarled. In rage his head shot up, giving Tyrael a firey glare. "Then what have I given half of my life for?! No, all of it!" he stepped closer to the archangel. "What have I been slaving over, under pressure by choice from an old, powerful hag and a voice that I shall carry forever past my own death?" He stood outraged, wishing secretly that Lazuri could hear him. "For years I've searched in secret agony so I could return to her what rightfully belongs to her! I have never had even the slightest intention of harming her! Not once! I warned her years ago that the worst punishment I could give her was for me to love her!" Images of past memories between her and him flashed again. "Because the day I find my heart, she will be the last thing that supports me!"

(Wow Tel... I never knew you could be so... deep. O_o)

Tyrael knew there was nothing he could say to prove himself right, and to prove Teloren wrong. Because of all the times he's watched Lazuri live her pitiful life, he knew she was better off with Teloren, than with Zane. One thing remained a question in his mind, did Kortella and Lucian know of how much their parents went through? Did they know all the hard decisions they both had to make, along the way? He highly doubted it. He glanced back down to Lazuri, and sighed. "There's no time, left. We're all out of it." he muttered, reffering as to how the change was at last done, although she remained unconscious. "But you might as well run off now, Teloren. Once she's at last conscious again, she may have a severe thirst for your blood. You're the only one who can be affected by it, now. And I suppose she's going to be ready to do so any minute, now." he mumbled, as to the fact that Lazuri was now moaning out, and muttering a few curse words here and there.

[[Gyah. I have to go in a few mins, or about an hour. My parents called in "sick" so they're only going to work at 5:00pm. We're apparently going to watch some crummy romantic Indian movie. *gags* NOT THE ROMANCE!! DDDDDD:]]

Gazing sympathetically at Lazuri, he hesitated. Then he crudely shoved the vial into Tyrael's hands. "Tell her if she really wants to leave this, if she really desires it, she can have it." he began to back away, gripping the knife once more. "She has three years." With one hand raised up in the air, his body began to fade into a swirling mist, back to the reality. And the voice.

Lazuri leaned against a tree, desperately waiting for the living to come. She hadn't had any taste of blood, ever since she became a vampire. And yet, she knew that Tyrael was also hiding something from her. She just didn't know what.

To his disappointment, he awoke to a blinding light. To make matters worse, an ache lingered in his head. He groaned a little as he rose to a sitting position. He massaged his temples with his fingers. Such a depressing dream. It took him a few minutes of arousing and shuffling that he was not alone in the room, although it appeared so.
He waited at the wall next to the entrance to his parents' room... or at least, what used to be. Making sure something was still there in his palm, he peered in. Silently, he faded and slipped in.

Teloren was not going to be welcoming. Behind his back, he hid his knife and acted as if nothing were out of sort.
He carefully approached Teloren. He probably has already sensed my presence.
Just wait, it will come to you.
Without any hesitation, he knelt down on the floor and caught a piece of Teloren's cloak between his fingers.
In one abrupt movement, he exchanged the knife to his other hand and swooped down on the invisible being.
Fading into a visibility, he unsheathed his own knife and met Teloren's blade.
Teloren couldn't have been in more shock. The figure before him was dark, almost white-haired, scarred and stoic. He recognized no fear or emotion in this being. "Lucian." he muttered.
His expression did not change. The look in his eyes was ominous and he held his blade in place, without any intention of sheathing it. "Teloren."

She began mumbling out a few curse words, watching over the two. "Would you two just move it, and come see me?" Lazuri pleaded, as she called this out through Teloren's mind.

(Sorry, I didn't want to write so much in one post. XD I'll get to my point here.)

Teloren flashed the second blade out close to his throat.
A spell flung it back. It clattered on the ground. He remained stoic.
He began circling him, his blade still held up. After a little while, he spoke again. "Why are you here?"
Lucian followed him with his eyes, then looked to the ground. "Why do you think I'm here?"
"Don't act foolish, what do you want?"
Lucian lowered his blade and fingered the edge with his thumb. No blood was spilled. "Why is my mother stuck in a one-sided world?"
How did he know-? Teloren could answer the first question instantly. There had only been one explanation. But the second question he could not fathom himself. "You're a dreamwalker." he lowered his blade as well.
"Inevitably."
Examining Lucian again, thoughts swirled and puzzled his mind. He shook his head. "I could not have sired someone of that fate."
His bottomless eyes met Teloren's. "Quite possibly, you could have. Or it may be from my mother as well."
Teloren exhaled sharply. "I brought it upon her." he said, answering his question.
Lucian breathed silently as he opened his palm, revealing the talisman. "Why have I been obliged to help you?"
Teloren backed up a few steps. He cannot back down from this. "You do not have to," he looked away, a dark shadow fell over his face. "if you wish to depart earlier."
Defiantly, he dropped the talisman and vanished again into thin air, transporting himself into the realm of Teloren's dreams.
He is willing to accept his fate... he looked grimly into the darkness. He cannot be my son.
