Prelude

The wolf howled it's melody in agony and pain, with the bodies of his loved ones scattered everywhere. The song carried on to even the small packs' shelters of the Killers. But the wolf thought, no, he knew that this wasn't the Killers' work. It was someone, something else. The scratches and bite marks proved that, but there were other things. Most of the wolves looked at peace, not like when the Killers came and hunted wolves. They looked like they felt better when they died, not frightened and defensive. The wolf howled as the blood from a she-wolf seeped under his paws and into his pads. He padded over to the body in a few steps and buried his nose into her fur, realizing who had done this. It was the Cree.
