You know that screen that comes up after you post - the one that directs you either to your own post or back to the forum? Yeah, well, sometimes, instead of that screen, a message shows up saying "No post mode specified" and it won't let me post. Has this happened to anybody else?

Maybe it's setting a session or a cookie with something like that, and your cookie could have expired. That means that if you stay on a page too long, the form is made 'invalid' and when you submit it it doesn't get the information properly as you no longer have a solution.
If you don't know when you opened the page, a good idea is just to refresh it to make sure that the form will work. Smile

Thanks for the help, Ari. Smile

The thing is, I'll refresh it a few times, try again, and it still won't work. D:

That's really weird. I looked around and found this thread. I guess that it's probably something with the SEO (search engine optimization, which is what makes the pages look like no-post-mode-specified-t4881.htm instead of thread.php?mode=read&t=2441 or something. Apparently, posting.php (which is what takes the post) isn't getting some kind of variable, for whichever reason. Razz

That's happened to me before, but I can't remember when, so I don't have anything to add. I'm going to stalk you guys until this gets resolved, though, in case my memory decides to come back. xD
