"Alright," I smiled, as we set down, me behind her. I pushed off from the bar above us, as the water brought us down the slide. Her hair was whipping my face, so I moved so that I was leaning over her shoulder, my arms wrapped around her waist. We were going to fast and the ride seemed to last minutes - at one point we were even air born, though after a few seconds we were back on the slide. Then, there was the big drop. I could feel my stomach drop as adrenaline filled my body. And then, just like that, we were thrown into the pool. I dove under, coming up, as I laughed. "That was awesome!" I yelled.

"Ha, well I'm gonna go get dressed, k?" I finally blurted, climbing out of the pool, and leaving, not sure what to say. I guess I was trying to get away from her; how could I start falling for the richest girl in the world? Then I remembered that we shared the same room. "Great," I thought to myself.

Bored on so many levels, I decided to go to the pool. Not the best thing to do when you can travel all around France, but I would go sight seeing later. I jumped in, and while I floated to the top again, I wondered.. "Where's Matt?"

Seeing Isabelle in the pool, I dove in after her, making a loud splash. "Hey," I smiled, after floating to the top.

I walked aimlessly down the cruise's stuffy corridor to my room with my face buried in a good science book. Who says just because I'm on vacation I can't study. My heart skipped a beat when I noticed my room door was open. I have been dreading this moment, I knew all cabins had a boy and a girl but my roommate was so late I was hoping I got off. I pulled off my reading glasses and looked about for the mystery man.

"Wow, way to ruin your vacation," I thought to myself as someone with glasses and a science book in her hand walked in. "Uh, hey..." I mumbled, shaking my head, as I slippe dinto a grey American Eagle jacket.

I rolled my eyes. "great, they set me up with a spoiled prank pulling jerk." I thought. I could so tell he was going to be a parting, room ruining... Trouble-maker! I screamed mentally. "hello." i responded flatly setting my book down on my nightstand. I never was one to talk to guys. This guy was cute but I really hate to admit since he was so ... bad boy looking. I straighten my posture and plastered a smile on my face. "I'm Melanie.. Melanie Preston. I held my hand out to him.

"Blake," I answered, firmly shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you...?" I offered, though it souded more like a question. We weren't going to get along.

"I think maybe we need to set some rules." i answered. I so wasn't going to let this guy ruin my trip with his immature games. "Like.. no touching my stuff, actually how about not touching anything that's not your." I started. He stood there just looking at me like I was a freak. Like this would be the first. "Shouldn't you be like righting this down? When he didn't respond I look down self-conscious and continued "I go to bed at around 11, so just try not to have anyone in here after that. Well I guess that's really it, unless you have some rules."

"Rule one, don't get annoying. If i have another person in here, your not here, and don't wake me up early," I said, dropping my bag on my side of the room, before walking out of the door.

"We should go on it again." I offered with a smile. "Ha, well I'm gonna go get dressed, k?" HE blurted. "Well, alright. Um, see you later?" I asked, but he didn't answer. I sighed and got out, wondering why this always happened to me. The friendship, the butterflies in the stomache, and then him leaving. I dried off and wrapped my towel around my hair, putting my hat and sunglasses back on, slipping on my flip flops and walking to my room, where I got my book. Blindness by José Saramago. I walked back to the pool and sat down in one of the poolside chairs, starting to silently read. It was about noon, so I'll hit Franch at two.
