Light-bulbs And Apple Seeds

I realized today, I'll never really lose you till I forget you.
Because you're in the breath of the newborn across the street.
You're hiding in the spaces between words better left unsaid.
I hear you in the sigh of the wind through leaves that I cannot name.
[you'd probably be able to; you were always good with trees]
You are in the scent of freshly dried towels;
just after they cool down enough to handle.
You live in the yellowed antique lace that covers the head
of the old woman sitting at the park bench with her eyes half-shut.
Your color is that of the light-bulb just after you turn it off;
while it still might be warm, or breathing.
You're ducking between the seeds of grapes and apples.
I can find you if I ride the wind.
