Arianna's WEEKEND blog for the 16th
OMGOMGVOLCANODUST.
So there's this volcano in Iceland, and apparently it's a really big deal because they're shutting down about a million gazillion airports! Like, even the airport in my city now! All airports are closed in Germany, and the UK, and stuff. I think people are overreacting, but that's just me. xD Poor Icelandic people, they have to deal with a stupid volcano.
Even though it does look pretty awesome.
You know what? Austria is like pretty free of natural disasters. There aren't any earthquakes, and no volcanoes, and the worst thing that we have is floods. If there's anything which would affect us, it'd be from Italy. 'Cause there are volcanoes and earthquakes there.
Isn't it interesting that there are so many of them these days? Or maybe it's just the media being more aware of it, or the fact that we just finished the volcano and earthquake unit in Geography. Or maybe it's all of them.
I have RainyMood playing on the website and the chrome extension... it's really loud. Wait, nevermind, I just closed the website. RainyMood is seriously awesome. Google it.
I am so happy this week is over. It actually didn't drag on and on and on, like school weeks usually do. Maybe it's 'cause I had so much stuff to do. |D
See, there's Script Frenzy. I'm doing okay - I have 59 pages. And according to my goals, it's badbadbad because I'm behind, but according to the 3.33 pages a day I need, I'm doing really well. I know I'm gonna finish no matter what happens, so I should probably stop worrying.
You know what? This week I enjoyed freewriting. I don't know why, but I enjoyed it. Even though I might not have written the most high-quality stuff, it was fun. And that's a good thing, right?
I'm reading Maximum Ride: School's Out Forever. It's interesting. Though I can't help but be mad at Ari, and sorry for him at the same time. And sorry for me, 'cause my nickname's also Ari. xD I don't wanna be a mutant eraser. Poor him, though, really. I think Jeb's an idiot. And I think that Angel was smart to change the president's mind about his budget. ('Cause war isn't good. )
I didn't get much coding done this week, but I'm not going to stress about it. I'm setting myself goals for the weekend and I'm sure I'll do just fine on them. The user system I'm coding for Spotty (dubbed UserSystem, even though I hate the name) is demanding. I mean, it's not a bad thing, but it is challenging. I really don't know what her site's gonna be about, and I might wanna see if I can get a full site done with it on my own; or maybe have her and I and someone as an artist, and see if we can get a site done together.
That'd be fun. I'm coding the moderation for the forums, which is turning out to be harder than the forums themselves, and then the administration. As well as a human avatar system, where you dress basic 'avatars', and... some kind of level system, but I don't know what that's supposed to really be yet.
My friend Emilia is coming and spending the night. Which basically means that she, my brother, and my sister are having a sleepover. xD She invites herself, so I'm fine with that. I mean, it doesn't bother me and my brother and sister really like it.
Did I tell you guys about what happened yesterday at school? No? Well, here we go. On Monday my group got a 5 (equivalent to a C) on our project in wood tech. I can still get a 7 (A) if I do really well on our second project, but just then it was too much to bear and I cried. Bah. So, anyway, fast-forward to Thursday and at the beginning of PE I get called to the counselors office.
I was sorta... annoyed, as you'd imagine. Seriously, can I not care about my grades? She talked about setting too high expectations and stuff and I wanted to yell at her and go "SERIOUSLY, LADY, SHUT UP." I missed part of a dodgeball lesson, and that's the only sport that we do in PE that I actually like. And even then, someone knocked me over and I bruised my knee. And after PE, I had German. A German test, to be exact.
Needless to say, I did not like my Thursday afternoon. Not at all.
And to end on a more positive note after that not-so-happy rant, how do you like the new Twig layout? I made it, by the way. ^-^ I actually quite like it, but it seems others don't care for it. Oh well. Change is gooood, people.
Goodbye!
Arianna

A volcano? Creepy. o_o
I googled RainyMood - it's actually kind of cool!
I hope you have fun at your sleepover.
Aw, Thursday sounds like it wasn't too fun. That's too bad. D:
And the layout? I love it. <3

o.0 I've been noticing there's a lot of natural disasters, too, but I haven't known whether it's because I'm just paying more attention . . . *resists urge to babble about the moon being closer* I did hear about the volcano a couple days ago, even. Like, wow.
RainyMood is cool. o.0
Great job with SF! ^^
I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your freewriting! That's definitely a good thing. Maybe having prompts helps?
I told you there was an evil Ari out there! But yeah . . . I had mixed feelings about Ari until - *claps hands over mouth* Until a moment. xD
*stands in awe of coding skills* How. Do. You. Do that?!
Hope you and Emilia have fun! ^^
I'm sorry about the counselor. :/ I'm sure she was just trying to look out for you, but adults do assume too much about people sometimes. I woulda been mad as heck too.
I love it! But you already knew that. xD

Yeah, the volcano sure is creepy. But it's cool, too. x3 There are so few planes flying - there are none over Austria, or Germany, and there are only 2 over the UK. It's really freaky 'cause pretty much all of them are in northern Italy and Spain.
Thanks 'bout the layout!
Ado:
I don't want the moon to move closer. 'Cause even though apocalypses are cool, most of us would probably die. And that wouldn't be much fun, would it?
I think the prompts really help. :3 It's fun to read through all of them, but it's so hard 'cause there are more people making them than there are claiming them, and they're all so awesome. |D
In this book? Or the next one? I'll have to get that from the library, which will be on Monday. I need to finish School's Out Forever first, though.
Well, I basically sit down and stare at the screen until I go "Oh, I'm supposed to be working on this file!", and then I make a MySQL database, then I notice I forgot to autoincrement a field, so I delete it and make it again, this time the right way, then I open a file and start to codecodecode for like 10 minutes, and then I open it in localhost. And then I fix all of the errors and it works. :3 And then I go onto the next file. xD
We watched the Bee Movie. That was fun. She, Jayanthi and Shanta are making a house out of lego now.
I'm sure the counselor was trying to be helpful, but it was still pretty annoying. xD

Re: Arianna's WEEKEND blog for the 16th
Hmm . . . well, I have to confess that it certainly would not be. D: And what of my darling little internet connection? I can't lose that!
xD Lol, well, at least that means there's plenty for everyone!
Hmm . . . you know, I can't really remember. xD I have a hard time remembering what happens in which book . . . but after this big incident in a big place run by a lady trying to convince Max of something big about her past, that's when I fully liked Ari. Either that, or it was when Fang got all peeved and everyone was all sad because of the events that happened.
0.0 Woaaaah. *points finger at epicness*
Oh, hey, I think I saw that! xD That animated one? (Or am I thinking of something else?) I'm glad you guys had fun with that at least.
xD Counselors sure can be. She didn't have a sugary sweet voice like she was talking to a baby, did she? o.o Cus that just woulda been eugh.

Yeah, I heard about that. o_o Actually, when we flew back from Germany, the flight that took us back to the U.S never made it back to Frankfurt, because of the volcano.
Your new avvie is awesome, by the way.

Re: Arianna's WEEKEND blog for the 16th
Ado: Exactly what I was thinking. No electricity = no internet.
Okay, I dunno that part. And guess what? Now I hate Angel. She's like "You know, maybe I should be the leader." Ugh.
Yes, the animated one. It's awesome.
She talks real slow. xD Idk, she's just annoying.
Avvy: Whoa.
Thanks! I got it of DeviantArt.

Re: Arianna's WEEKEND blog for the 16th
Now I finally see how horrible the apocalypses are. 0.0
IKNOWRIGHT?! Angel's such a nasty brat! >.> And to influence that old lady just so she could have her toy . . .
*tehe* That was funny. xD If awkward at a certain part, or so I thought when I watched it a couple years ago.
o.0 Eugh.
