I froze for a second, eyes wide, then dashed over to him. I crouched beside him, automatically feeling for a pulse, relieved when I felt one. "Shelby! Glass!" I shouted, glancing over my shoulder.

(( ...Baka. ))

I ran over to Sarah, crouching down on my knees. "Tree?" I asked out loud. No response. I put a hand to his forehead. "GYAH!!" I yelled, pulling my hand back quickly and clutching it to my chest.

I clenched my teeth, thinking. "We're screwed." I said. "We are so, so, oh-so screwed."

"What happened?" I asked irritably, annoyed at having absolutely no idea what was going on, as Glass trotted up beside me.

I bit my lip, thinking. Do I tell her? She'll freak out. She will most, definitely freak out, without a doubt. But.....I guess she has a right to know. Oh well. I thought, then said the one word that would ruin everything. "Hadyina."

I stared at her silently, biting my lip to the point where I tasted blood to avoid completely freaking out, mostly because I knew she expected me too. "Silent," Glass warned quietly, obvious scenting the blood, and I scowled at her in annoyance. "So, basically, we're screwed," I muttered.
