Violet heard some crunching of someone stepping on the grass behind her. She turned her head over towards the noise and saw a girl looking at her torn dress. Violet stared at her silently for a moment, but the girl wouldn't be able to tell where she was looking from Violet's shaded away face. Just then the girl started running towards Violet. Violet tensed up slightly, not feeling comfortable around other people. Probably never would. She looked away from the girl and pretended she hadn't seen her, but when someone is running towards you its kinda obvious that you had seen them in the first place.

I was sure I would make a fool out of myself. As I was only yards away, I slowly approached her. "Um... hi.. I'm Annie.." My British accent came off strong.
