Jade walked down the dimly lit corridor, then stood still, teleporting back. Beluosus had told her to go back to spying, so she had. She took a shallow breath. She didn't like it here, but she had no choice, at all, to go back.
She appeared seamlessly in the landscape when she completed the teleport. Who would she meet today?

"Hello," Jade said, trying her hardest to be polite. As she crushed her teeth together and tried to think of a way to get out, she managed a faint - but forced - smile. "Your name's Falluca, right?"

"What?" Jade had decided to act clueless, it was certainly easier than needing to show her her power, because she could always be monitored. Also, any more attention than she had right now could - and would - get her in trouble.

"Okay, that would be great!" Jade said. Her faked enthusiasm wasn't really convincing, but she assumed that the average 6 year old would be scared, too, so she shrugged it off. When will this silly dragonish person stop bothering me? she thought, grimacing inwardly.

Oh no. This couldn't be. Maybe if Jade started acting more like someone her age really should, she'd be better off. "Please?" she said, pouting. "But I really, really, really wanna see your power! I promise I'll show you it straight afterwards!" She held her pinky finger out. It didn't mean anything to her, but it didn't matter. No one knew, and she'd appear more honest. At least she hoped she would.

Jade smiled, the tilted her head to the side. "So, what is your power?" she asked. This time, she wasn't faking anything - except for the smile, of course. Good people disgusted her. She took a deep breath and let it out, knowing that this wouldn't exactly help her 'nice' expression. "What is it?" She started jumping up and down, hoping that Falluca would notice her excitement - which, by the way, was another thing that wasn't being faked. She knew it would have to do something with her wings, but asking would make her seem even sillier. Or would it? "Do you use your wings for it?" she asked, shyly gesturing to the giant purple wings.

"Oooh, what is it then?" she asked. She was losing her grip on the situation and she had to get on top of it. "What is it?" she asked, looking like she was thinking hard. Which she was, of course. But not about the power. She was thinking about the horrible situation that she'd be in if she didn't find out more information.

"Wow!" Jade clapped adorably, showing a her little smile. She hoped that Falluca had forgotten about her promise, or at least that she was distracted by something, so that she could leave and then, whenever she saw her next, act like she forgot about it.

"I saw something in the bushes over there!"
She peeked in a nearby runeberry bush for the shiny object.

"Whew" Jade muttered under her breath, then went off, hoping to find someone else - someone who could supply more information. Sure, the transformation was actually quite cool - but that wouldn't interest anyone at all. She was a spy, after all. She wasn't here to be a tourist. She was here to find out the secrets, not repeat knowledge which had already been stolen.

Jade walked around, not finding anyone. This place was so empty, and boring. Come to think of it, her whole time here had been boring. She sighed. Why wasn't she on her home planet? She'd heard rumors of the reasons, but she hadn't thought to remember them - after all, she'd just thought it was a dream.
