Mori has rough, black hair, and brownish gray eyes which are usually blank. He usually has very severe expression, and smiles very rarely. He is the tallest of the group. He is also very strong, and used to be a Kendo champion prior to joining the Host Club.

Mori is the quietest and most unknown character of the group, his reasons for joining the Host Club just to keep close to Hunny. Both are cousins, and it is shown numerous times that Mori takes care of him, and becomes upset whenever something happens to him. He once even broke down because Hunny had gotten a cavity, and blamed himself for not reminding Hunny to brush. Mori is a great fighter, but somewhat taciturn and emotionless. Girls are attracted to this, and also enjoy his caring for Hunny. He is also the only person to call Hunny by his real name "Mitsukuni", and vice-versa, Hunny always calling Mori "Takashi".

It is rumored that in the manga Mori is acts somewhat similar to Tamaki when he gets tired.
Mori comes from the Morinozuka family, which has a long line of them protecting and serving the Haninozuka family. Even after a marriage, bonding the two families together, he is still protective of Hunny. His little brother, Satoshi, shares the same trait as Takashi, but he is much more louder than Mori. Satoshi is best friends with Yasuchika, who is Hunny's younger brother.
