This doesn't seem like a very active topic, does it? Oh well, I kinda expected this. Who likes Sonic the hedgehog, anyway? *Raises hand* I do. Well jeez, you're like the only person! Like I care. Actually, I do care. Why do I care? I don't know! Why am I posting this? AGH!!!!

Okay, this may seem like the end of the story, but believe me, it's not. There's quite a bit to go yet.

CHAPTER 11

“Hey, Knuckles!” Sonic came running towards him. Amy followed Sonic. “How are you feeling, Knuckles?” Then Tails appeared, and smiled. “Hi Knuckles. How are ‘ya?” Knuckles looked at the glowing cyan blue emerald in his hand, and smiled. “Just fine, Tails. But I got a question.” “Sure thing.” Now, Knuckles asked them, “What exactly did we come here for, anyway? I mean, what was our mission again?” Tails stood in deep thought a minute, then replied, “You know Knuckles, I don’t really remember.” “And if we don’t know what our mission is,” Sonic continued hopefully, “then we really don’t need to do anything, now do we?” Tails sighed. “I guess not.” There was a long, long, silence. Then, “Anyone fancy a pizza? I’m starved.” “Ya’ know something, Knucklehead? That’s about the best idea that you’ve ever come up with.” Sonic grinned at him. Then he, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy set off towards Metropolis.

CHAPTER 12

“Knuckles, did you get that loose pipe on the bottom?” Tails asked Knuckles as they worked on the new and improved Tornado X. Their plane had shut down at Metropolis and they had had to stop for repairs. Knuckles slid out from under the plane and pulled off his protection visor. “I’m working on it right now. It was more than just loose; it came right off when I tried welding it.” “Oh. Is it on yet?” “Getting there. It’s still kind of insecure, but I can’t keep welding it like this. It’s sort-of melting the pipe.” “That’s not good! If it looks like it’s melting the pipe, then stop welding it completely.” “All right. Hey, did you hear something?” “Now that you mention it, yes.” Tails pricked up his ears. “Oh yeah, now I hear it. Where did Sonic go?” “I dunno, but that sounds kinda like the phone. Don’t you think?” “Yeah, it does. Listen, can you get it? I’ve still got to check the propellers.” Knuckles rolled his eyes. “Isn’t that what I’m here for? Welding pipes and answering phones. Yep, that’s me.” He said sarcastically as he went to check the receiver. “It’s the president. Should I answer it?” Tails shot up from the plane. “Should you answer it? Hm, let me see...YES!!!” “Okay, okay. You don’t have to scream.” He pushed the speaker button and an image of the president appeared. “Is Sonic the Hedgehog here?” The president stared quizzically at Knuckles, then asked, “And who are you supposed to be?” “I’m Knuckles, Sonic’s friend and errand boy. And no, he’s not here. Not anymore, at least. Can I take a message?” The president thought a moment, and then replied, “Yes. Tell Sonic that there are two hedgehogs, a bat, a robot, and Dr. Eggman standing in front of me. And I request advice.” “Hold a second, please.” Knuckles put down the phone and yelled, “WHERE THE HECK IS SONIC?!” “I’m here, I’m here. Gosh. You don’t have to yell like that.” Knuckles gritted his teeth. “Maybe I have to. The president’s on the line and he wants advice on what to do because he thinks that two hedgehogs, a bat, a robot, and Dr. Robotnik are all standing right in front of him.” Knuckles took a breath. “Gimme!” Sonic snatched the phone and set it to his ear. “Hello, this is Sonic the Hedgehog speaking. Mr. President, do you need assistance?” “Oh there you are. Your little friend here said that you weren’t there. I need your help.” “Yeah? Knuckles said that you’re having trouble with Eggman.” “Indeed. Would you be able to come and scrutinize the situation?” “I think we could manage that.” “Thank you. We are at the white house. I have told my security guards to let you in.” “Alright, thanks. I’m on it.” He hung up the phone and turned to Knuckles. “Go tell Tails to fire up the Tornado and bring it to the launch pad.” Knuckles nodded. “TAILS GET THE TORNADO READY TO LAUNCH ‘CAUSE WE’RE GOING TO D.C!” “That wasn’t exactly what I meant.” “The Tornado’s up and ready to go!” Tails called in response. Sonic and Knuckles ran to the launch pad where they found Tails in the cockpit of the Tornado X. “Hop in, guys!” Knuckles and Sonic climbed into the plane and they took off.

CHAPTER 13

When they reached the white house, the guards nodded to Sonic, but they held Knuckles and Tails back. “Hey, let me go! Urgh, don’t you recognize me?” Sonic looked back, groaned, and turned around. “Wait a second. They’re with me!” One of the guards spoke to him. “Nope. The president said to let you go. Under no circumstances can we let these two pass.” Sonic was getting angry. “The president let me by, now let them by too! They are my associates.” “Did you notice the change of words here? At home he calls me errand boy, but here he calls me an associate.” “No Sonic,” Tails objected. “We’ll stay out here and wait for you.” Sonic was reluctant, but walked on. He ascended the steps and pushed open the doors. An escort guard was waiting for him, and saw him to the president’s office. When Sonic entered the office, he saw them. Metal Sonic, Shadow, Rouge, Omega, and Egg-man stood in front of the president’s desk. “Ah, Sonic, there you are.” The president stood up. “I have an uh...small problem.” “What are they doing here? And how did they get in?” Sonic asked suspiciously. “I don’t know how they got in. None of the guards recall seeing any of them.” Sonic turned to the group. “And exactly made you want to bust into the white house?” Rouge stepped forward while Shadow and Omega backed towards the door. “This is an incredibly easy thing to answer. We came to talk politics. You really wasted your time coming here.” “You think I’m gonna believe that pack of lies you dim-witted rat?” Egg-man seemed to be motioning someone or something with hand-signals, but they made no sense. “Cut that out, Egg-man! What are you up to?” Egg-man motioned Rouge to keep talking. “He’s simply practicing sign language.” “That doesn’t look like sign language to me!” “That’s because it isn’t American sign-language. It’s our own type, but never mind that. I don’t have the time to talk banter.” Sonic turned back to the president. “I would also like to ask you something, Mr. President.” “Certainly.” “Why didn’t the guards let the rest of my team in?” “They didn’t?” “No they didn’t.” “My apologies. I will send them in immediately.” “Thank you.” The president gave orders to the guards to escort the two colleagues in. Soon after, they came hurrying in and reported that the two no longer were outside the white house. Sonic contacted them. “This is Sonic. Tails, Knuckles, do you hear me?”

What? :O Zomg, I have a really bad feeling about this. I hope nothing happened to them. Especially Knuckles - he's had enough grief already!

Lol, yeah, he sure has. xD I won't give anything away, but we'll see.

CHAPTER 14

Knuckles’ communicator flashed red. “Aw man. Sonic’s timing couldn’t be worse.” “What’s this?” Shadow asked in an irritated manner—snatching the communicator. “That,” Knuckles replied, “Is mine. Don’t mess with it.” “I’ll mess with it if I want to.” “True, so true; can I have it back now?”
“Ugh! Stupid thing! It must not work.” Sonic said, growing angry. But then, he heard an outburst of voices through the communicator. “I told you not to mess with it” “Be quiet! I’m trying to figure out how to turn it on!” “It is on!” “Guys, if it’s on, then Sonic is hearing all of this.” “Say what?!” “Hmmm, sounds like there are two possibilities.” “And what are they?” “Either Knuckles and Tails caught Shadow, or Shadow caught Knuckles and Tails.” “What are you yammering about?” Egg-man asked boorishly. “Mr. President, these imposters won’t hurt you, but if it pleases you, I will get rid of them.” “Hah! Not so fast!” Egg-man guffawed. “I still have Rouge and Metal Sonic!” “Hmm, you have a point there. But I do really need to see if Tails and Knuckles are okay.”
“Knuckles, what are we going to do?” Tails asked urgently. “I don’t know. Maybe if we get out of these chains and got Shadow out of our way...” “That’s not going to happen!” Shadow said angrily. “Omega, bring me that rope over there. It’s time to shut Beavis and Butthead up.” “Uh oh...”

Oh goodness. xD Poor Knuckles.

(And it's funny how I don't even mention Tails. o_O)

CHAPTER 15

“Alright, first of all, Rouge won’t hurt me. She’s harmless. Second, even if I do beat them up, you’re going to have to find a way to get out of here on your own. So I suggest doing what you came here for now.” Egg-man stood with a blank expression on his face, then turned to Rouge and Metal. “What did we come for, anyway?” “Don’t look at me, I don’t know.” “Beeeeep.” Rouge and Metal Sonic shrugged their shoulders. Meanwhile...
“MMMPH!!!” Knuckles tried to yell, but since he and Tails were both gagged, no one could hear their fretted screams and shouts for help. “Miff hmp tm mummy miff!” Tails attempted to say, ‘you won’t get away with this!’ “Mwua ha ha ha,” Shadow laughed nastily. “MMMPHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!” Knuckles roared. He broke the chains that bound him, and ripped the gag out of his mouth. “Stop right there, Shadow the Hedgehog.” Meanwhile...
“Then why are we standing around?” Rouge asked him. Egg-man stamped his foot angrily. “AR!!! Why can’t I ever get anything done around here?”
“Easy, man.” Shadow said uneasily as Knuckles herded him into a corner. “That gag was way too tight!” Knuckles said, fuming. “Don’t you idiots know how to gag someone right?” “Well gee, sorry.” He leered, “Oh yeah, but I do know how to gag someone. Here, let me show you.” He snapped his fingers and immediately Omega grabbed Knuckles and held him up in a deadly chokehold. Tails had seen enough. He threw himself irately at Omega and sent the robot crashing to the ground. Knuckles gasped wearily. Infuriated, Tails stormed over to Shadow, and began hurling tools off his belt at him. “Ow! Stop that! Hey! That hurts! What are you doing? Ouch! CUT THAT OUT!!”

"MMMMMMPHHHH!!!" Knuckles roared.

That was the best line ever. xD

CHAPTER 16

Sonic’s communicator beeped. He anxiously pushed the speaker-phone button and answered, “Hello?” The familiar voice of Tails came in response. “Sonic? It’s me, Tails. We’ve got Shadow; we just need some guards to take him away—along with that irritating bat, robot, and Eggman.” “Can-do. I’ll tell Mr. President to meet you...uh, where the heck are you, anyway?” “We seem to be in the courtyard.” “Alright, then we’ll see you out there with some guards, too.” He pushed the flashing button, and the red light disappeared. “Did you get all of that, Sir?” Sonic asked the president. He nodded. “Well then, we don’t want to keep them waiting, now do we? Let’s go!” Knuckles and Tails looked up to see Sonic, closely followed by the president and his bodyguards. “Took ya’ long enough.” Knuckles muttered. Tails jabbed him with his elbow. Knuckles winced and glowered angrily at Tails. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know that you two were coming along with Sonic, so I ordered the guards to let Sonic and only Sonic in. If I had let you in, then this never would’ve happened. Is there anything I can do to repay you?” “Anything?” Knuckles asked slowly. “Oh yes. Do you have something in mind?” “As a matter of fact, I do. Can you have one of your bodyguard dudes hold Shadow back while I pound on him for a while?” “That can be done. Yes, go ahead.” He ordered one of his guards to hold Shadow down while Knuckles boxed him again, and again. “Ah! Go easy on me- Ooh! Watch it, pal- Agh! Stop that! Ow! You know that really hurts! Gah! Alright! Uh! You- ack! Can- oof! Cut- Guh! That- Ee! Out- Oog! Now- owwww...”

Yay for Knuckles! He finally gets his revenge!

CHAPTER 17

“We received a call, should I answer it?” “Yeah, go ahead.” Knuckles hit the TALK button and picked up the phone. “Hello? May I help you?” “This is Amy Rose. Are you Sonic?” “No, I’m Joe—from a county?” “Can you put Sonic on for me? I need to talk to him.” “Sonic? Who’s Sonic? Sorry, wrong number.” He hung up the phone. “Who was that?” Tails asked. “Some weirdo from Malaysia. She wanted to talk to ‘Fred’, so I told her wrong number and hung up.” “Oh.” “Hi, guys.” Sonic walked in with a slice of pizza in his hand. Knuckles’ eyes turned the size of dinner plates. “WHERE DID YOU GET THAT SLICE OF PIZZA???” “From the pie that’s in the other room. Oh, wait. Maybe I shouldn’t have told you that. Knuckles! Come back!” But there was no stopping Knuckles, by the time Sonic got there, the pizza was gone. Tails looked disappointedly at the empty pizza box. “You didn’t save me a slice!” “Sorry Tails. But by the time you got here, it would’ve already have gotten cold.” There was a long, silence. Then, “But we can always get another one! Tails, fire up the Tornado. We’re goin’ back to Metropolis!” And with that, he, Tails, and Sonic climbed aboard the Tornado X and they took off into the sunset—in pursuit of a no-topping, thin-crust, three-cheese extra-large pizza.

CHAPTER 18

Shadow the Hedgehog lay sleeplessly on the floor of Team Sonic’s tool closet. He felt humiliated and defeated. In his mind flashed the same mortifying scene...
After Knuckles had finished beating on him, the president asked Team Sonic what they planned to do with Shadow. After discussing it, they finally decided that they would bring him back to their head quarters and lock him up there. Once at their H.Q., they began to argue just where they would bar him up. “Just throw him in the utility shed!” Sonic said irritably. “Serves him right.” Knuckles agreed. During the past few days, he and Shadow had been fighting. And what better opportunity, thought Knuckles. But Amy pitied Shadow, and argued. “That’s mean, Sonic! It’s cold out there! At least let him stay indoors.” “Oh...fine! But he’s goin’ in the closet!” So it was decided, and Shadow was locked in their closet for the night. But that wasn’t why he was tossing and turning at 2:00 in the morning. For a reason that Shadow could not understand, there was a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach that he could not identify. But it made him feel like he had done something bad. He could not for the life of him understand why, but it did. Still thinking, Shadow grew more and more exhausted, and finally he drifted off to slumber.

So, I'd really like to know who's following this story. I wanna get an idea on who actually likes this kinda stuff. I'm guestimating just shadow, and occasionally others will read something, but I'm still not sure.

CHAPTER 19

Sonic shook Knuckles awake. “Come on! Wake up, Knuckles!” Knuckles rolled over in his bed and groaned. “Oh, come on Sonic! It’s only 6:00 in the morning!” “Yeah, get up.” “It’s not even morning yet. Leave me alone.” Knuckles pulled the covers over his head. “Says you! Now get your act together; we’ve got things to do.” He threw aside the covers, pushed Knuckles out of bed, and dragged him out of the room.
Still asleep, Shadow’s quiet breathing was sounder than usual. In his dreams, a figure emerged and spoke these words: “For Surely I Know the Plans I Have for You; Plans for Your Welfare and Not for Harm, To Give You a Future with Hope.”
But then, the illusion was interrupted and he suddenly awoke when there was the sound of the door being unlocked, and it opened. Sonic appeared, and he offered, “Eggman’s up to no good again. He’s terrorizing the villagers. We decided that we’ll let you come and help us—if you want.” “I will never join you. And if you aren’t my friend, then you’re my enemy.” “Suit yourself.” Sonic shook his head sadly, and closed the door. “Where’s Shadow?” Knuckles asked him once he entered the room again. “He said he’s not coming.” “If it were up to me, I’d make him do it.” Knuckles said crossly. “I don’t like putting anyone against their will.” “Yeah, but he is our prisoner.” “Still...” But he didn’t finish his sentence. Instead, Amy walked in. “Good morning, guys. What’s new today?” “We have a mission to stop Eggman from destroying Green Hill Zone again.” Tails replied. “We’d better get moving. Come on, guys. Let’s bring that villain to justice!”

Ohhh, okay. xD

This chapter was cool. o_O I wonder what was up with those weird dreams?
