Re: The Computer Art group
At least in semi-recent versions of Photoshop (not sure about other programs, or anything before 7.0), there are "sets" which basically put the layers in a folder. I don't really know what to do with them other than organizing them.Arianna wrote:Well, I like having everything grouped properly.
There's usually a background, paper sketch, digital sketch, coloring,
shading, shading #2, and lineart layer, so it's not like I don't use
them, it's just I don't want them all on different layers. They get so
mixed up that way.
I typically have Lineart1, a thicker outer edge, Lineart2, the thin stuff that's all the things that are inside the first, possibly a third for details, all my color, a shading layer (which is a copy of the color with lower brightness and saturation with a layer mask) and a highlights layer (which is pretty much the same as the shading, but with higher settings). I could use more, but I've never really had to.
I used to do sprites all the time in Tech Ed, 'cause I always finished really fast and had spare time. We only had MS Paint, and I had to use a mouse, but I still liked them.Noah the Flood wrote:I made a t-rex sprite in the computor lab at school a few weeks ago on paint....I got bored, and internet sucks so..yeah.
I should bring in a flash drive and bring them home before I'm off to the High School and they're gone forever.
I learned recently that I can actually get on TWIG from our school computers, but it was from before I was even aware this place existed.

Re: The Computer Art group
My sister switched to Paint.NET.
That must suck. At school we have the whole Adobe suite - photoshop, indesign, flash, illustrator, dreamweaver. xD

Our schools - atleast the middleschools - computors really sucked with programs xD Same with internet. They almost cut them next year. They already did in elementary.
I love Paint.NET. Its fun to foul around on

All we have at school is Photoshop, but it's the educational version and completely different from Elements, so I learn how to do stuff there and then I get home and try to do it again and I don't know how. xP
