"So far the Secret Service have managed to keep this from the press, but I'm sure they'll get a hold of it soon: The President of the United States has been assassinated."

"And our mission is to find the killer," Cam said.

Emily pursed her lips, " I see. " she said. " That's kinda strange the Secret Service didn't notice, though. "

"That's why we picked our three top available agents. Anyone who could pull this off is probably extremely dangerous. We don't want you to move in once you find him, no matter how good the opportunity. Settle with finding out who did this and how, and then we'll figure out how to capture him."

Emily nodded, " Okay... " she said, " So then, when do we start, uhm, investigating? " she asked, tilting her head slightly.

"As soon as possible. But remember, this must be kept a secret. If word of this leaked out, there would be mass panic around the world. It must be kept as secret as possible."

"We're hoping to put that off for as long as possible. It's being released that the President received a very serious threat letter from terrorists, and has been taken to an undisclosed location for safety reasons. Meanwhile, the Vice-President will be taking over his duties until it is safe for him to return to the White House."

Cam frowned a little, weighing the envelope in the palm of his hand. Felt like there would be a lot to read, and with his dyslexia, it would take him a long time.

She had a small frown on her face, well it was kind of shocking when someone told you the President of the United States had just been assassinated. & now she had to read all this stuff.
