I shrugged. "'Cause that's the kind of people we are."

"We are?" Her tone was thoughtful as she repeated the phrase over in her mind. "Would you consider me rude if I were to ask who 'we' are... is..." she debated proper English but brushed it aside.

"My parents and I," I replied, with a 'duh' tone of voice, like it should be obvious.

Cassandra sat up a bint, shifting so she was leaning against the wall with her arm draped over her legs, "Well I don't know who you live with. I barely knew your name until tall, dark, and demented spoke to you."
Her tone was defensive but she brushed it off, "They're laid back then?"

"Or they don't care?" She asked, peering at him cautiously.

For a moment she was silently staring at her wand. "I'm sorry."

"About your parents. But I can see you don't care about it either," she replied curiously, analyzing him.

[[Do what? o_O]]
Annoyed and bored at the same time, I slammed my head on the table, and stayed in that position for quite a while. I was indeed bored to death, and there was literally nothing to do, other than waste my time uselessly on that wretched thing we dare to even call by its name... homework. Oh, how I ever hate it. But then again, I'm not the only one. I'm somewhat sure that Phillip doesn't like homework either, but I can kind of expect it. No one likes homework, really. Excluding the nerds and whatnot.. they usual embrace and worship homework, as though it's their almighty god and that they'll never betray it nor ignore it, ever again.. in there entire life. That just scares me. And I sure hope it scares you, too. Homework just isn't fun. At all. And it is certainly not worthy of being worshipped eternally. I'd never do that, in my life; not even once. I'd rather fling it across the room in hopes that it hits someone in the head, makes them angered to the point that they'd rip it apart and burn it to ashes. Come to think of it, I'd do that any day. It seems fun, to tell the truth.
Snapping back to what we call reality, I opened my eyes and fixes them straight forward. I had high hopes that Phillip would be near by. I loved him. How can you blame me for missing him although it's probably only been but a few minutes? When you choose to dedicate your life to someone, you do that with precision, and alway focus your energy deeply into successfully doing as your lover desires. And so, that's how you dedicate your life to someone... in case you were wondering.
And so you see, not everyone succeeds in finding someone to love for the rest of their life.. or at least for half of it.. or a quarter of it. Love can be difficult, although those who have never experienced it think differently. They expect the greater of it to always happen. Do they not realize love's downsides? And, despite how I'm only a Third Year, telling you this... beleive what I say, and trust me. Although you may one day find love, don't always expect the best of it. Expect the worse.
I wondered where Jake was, hoping we'd eventually meet up again... someday. I missed him, and right now; that's all that matters. And you know what? Jake's all that ever mattered in my life. So what if he's a Gryffindor and I'm a Slytherin? What difference does it make, exactly? None. It makes no difference, and it never will! So why can't we just be together, again?! I can't handle a life without him. I'd rather face Death.
Walking along the edges of the lake as I gave my past and current life a thought or two, I payed no attention to where I was going, nor to my surroundings. I inhaled just as sharply as I exhaled, before stopping. I glance up at the sky, only to notice the worse shape of cloud you could ever imagine- a broken heart. Some may find it but a sob story, while some would find it make-beleif. But me? I know that it's reality. Because I'm facing it right now.
Lowering my head and gaze back down to my feet, I began to walk along the edges of the lake, once more. Considering I wasn't looking forward, I never knew what layed in front of me, not that far away. And what exactly layed that far off, yet so closely at the exact precious moment? Truth. The truth about wether I loved Jake or not, remained in front of me, close.. but far away. As I ventured past the limits I'd decided for my nightly walk, I bumped into... Jake. I didn't expect it to happen- but it did, anyway. Only meaning to keep a distance between us, I held a hand at his chest.. accidentally, and took a small step back. As I raised my head to appologize, I couldn't help but keep my gaze fixed to his face for a long period of time. It left me unable to say a thing.. until reality came to me.
"S- Sorry.." I murmured, glancing back down, and carefully removing my hand from his chest, in hopes that he wouldn't be angered, or such. This would be where we'd both learn if we loved one another, still- or not. Or at least I hoped it was.

"I never said that."
(Make such long posts.)
I walked down the hall, my footsteps echoing loudly in the stone corridors. I held the image of her face in my mind, feeling her slipping away from me again, longing to see her, because it felt like if I didn't, she would disappear, and I'd never see her again. Where was she? I quickened my pace, taking the steps two at a time as I came to the entrance hall. I stepped into the crowded Great Hall and went over to the Hufflepuff table, scanning the long rows of faces for Hylia. Was she here, or somewhere else?
"No problem," I mumbled, turning away, too preoccupied to notice who it was. I felt shaky and kind of nauseous, like I usually did during the days just before and just after the full moon, but it was the quarter moon now, and it wouldn't be the full moon again for another few weeks. After several seconds of a strange nagging feeling I couldn't quite place, I turned around, realizing who had walked into me. "Oh! Oh - sorry, I - hi, um-" I stammered, suddenly unable to form a complete sentence. "I - sorry. Yeah. Sorry." I hoped she'd pick up on the double meaning in the single word, but I also hoped she didn't. I didn't know what I hoped. It felt like I didn't know anything these days.

"Oh," she looked down at her feet quietly as he corrected her, feeling like a first year again.

Her eyebrows arched high and she just nodded her head, "Mkay..." Quietly she brought her legs to her chest, wrapped her arms around them and rested her chin on her knees.
