The Dragon Emporium, Book Four [NEW PART PLEASE CLOSE!]

Terry nodded and laughed at Tommy, "Says she hates being dead actually." Tommy nodded and laughed a bit too. "Well, we've come up with a very devious idea kudos to our big sister."

Julie tilted her head to one side; the blond curls followed. "Oooh! Spill!" she squealed, grinning from ear to ear. "Oh, and, could you do me a favor? Tell Liz and Drina I said hi? And that I love them? And, okay, Greggy to? Please and Thank you?" She smiled at him, but it was a sad, strained expression.

Greg smiled; the same sad, strained expression that Julie wore. "I love you too," he said.

Mariah saw the sad smile, and gently stroked his face, resting her head on his chest, "You're sad." She noted in a quiet voice.

"No I'm not," he lied, forcing a better smile. But his ice burg blue eyes showed he was lying.

"You're lying..." Mariah quietly sang, not even having to look at his eyes to tell that what he said was a fib.

"No I'm not," he sang back to her in the same tone, rolling his eyes a little.

"Please?" Mariah asked him in a quiet tone, giving him her sad, puppy dog look.

Greg sighed deeply. "I miss Jules, okay?" he mumbled, looking away.

Mariah gently wrapped her arms around him, sighing in a sad way, "I miss her too, Greg." She said in a quiet voice, "Andrew does, too, most of my family do." She sighed.

Greg frowned deeply, sighing, too, "Poor Andrew," he mumbled, "Did he take it well? I don't remember." He kissed her cheek. "And poor you, too. I think the worst it's affected is Liz...she's really mopey lately. Well, not really after kissin' David," he made a face--he really didn't like David for some reason, "she was perfectly fine, but then afterwords, she felt bad again..."

Mariah was about to reply, but was startled when Andrew suddenly appeared sitting next to the two, his hands folded and his skinny little shoulders slumped over. "No." He replied for Mariah. He then explained why he was there, "Benjamin said that he didn't want me to bring my little raincloud under his roof," He sighed sadly, "So I wanted to hang out with you guys."

Greg reached over and ruffled the boy's hair. "Hey, it's okay," he said, "You can hang with us anytime." He thought a moment; what would make Julie happy? "Wanna go get some ice cream?" Ice cream always made had Julie happy, even on her worst days.

Andrew didn't really mind when Greg ruffled his hair, in fact, he left it in its now-spikey state. He nodded, "Okay." He sighed, hopping off of the bench.
Mariah pressed her lips to Greg's ear, and whispered quickly, "You spend some time with him-- the only person he's been talking to is Benjamin, and I don't think he'd want to talk to me." She smiled sadly, and gave him a light peck on the lips, before getting up, and walking away.

With a deep sigh, James came to a standstill in front of Cassie's door.
He looked horrible; his eyes were rimmed with red and bagged with
purple, his spiked hair was flat, his clothes looked more ruffled than
normal. He took the little piece of scotch tape and the envelope and
taped it to her door. Then, silently, he walked away.

The letter inside the envelope was as follows;

Dear Cassie,

I saw you kissing Alex yesterday.
At first I was mad, but then I saw how happy you seemed....
I've come to realize something.

When I first met you, okay, yeah, I only liked you 'cause you were hot. But,
as I got to know you, I saw that you weren't just beautiful on the outside,
but your soul is beautiful, too. You're funny, sarcastic, I know you can be
nice, and yes, I consider those traits good ones.

I love you. No, not because you're hot--as I've stated above--but because you're you.
And I know, sometimes, when you love someone, there's things you do, and things you
don't do. I've done all the wrong things, and I'm sorry for that. If it would
make you happy to be with Alex, even though he's going away
for a while, than so be it. I don't want to make you angry or upset
anymore. I don't like seeing you like that. It's better when you're
happy. But know this; no matter what happens, I always will always love
you. Even if some day you marry my brother or something. Oh, and that
reminds me. If you see him again before I do, tell him I'm sorry.

No, Tim didn't help me write any of that. Okay, okay, he helped with
the spelling, but that's it.

I'm taking a little vacation away from the DE. I don't wanna be here
anymore right now...I'm gonna be staying at my cousin's cabin. If you
look hard enough, you'll find it.

Cassie stepped out of her room, obviously having just woke up. There was the faintest glimmer of a smile on her face; she still remembered her dream barely. But now that she looked back on it, who was the man she talked to? With a sigh she shook her head and turned to close the door, "Whatcha be there..." she muttered and pulled off the letter. Silently she slit it open and read it over. Three or four time after reveiwing the letter, a few tears had made their way down their cheeks. Suddently her appetite was gone and she turned back into her room.
