Sweet. *tosses Mo the plasma gun* There's only three people in this world that think Near's worth a darn anyway. It'll do everyone good...

*glances at Matt* Er... You don't happen to have another smoke bomb on you, do you? >.>
Yeah, why? Do I get to shoot somebody again?
Eh, maybe, but let's give Mo's muscular physique a shot first.
Darn. -.-
Oh, *pfft* And you don't shoot enough people every day.
... Sorry, not helping. xD

But if we do fight... I must warn you, I fence.

But Near's better off dead! >:3
Well um... I... Won an arm wrestle against someone who was left handed one time?
Light: It's funny, because if you were smart like me, you'd see that-
Shh! Light. >.> Stop ruining my reputation.

I don't care what you people say. MY KIRA IS JUSTICE. Not insane, or evil, or anything relatively similar. Hmph.
Besides, who doesn't maniacally laugh every time they win? Well I guess Near doesn't, but he's hardly normal. ._.

Re: Death Note Battles
Near, I must say, shows no emotions whatsoever. Soo...its like, impossible for him to laugh like a maniac.
Plus, Light didn't KNOW he was doing evil. He really had an idea in his mind that he was doing the right thing and ridding the world of evil by getting rid of criminals.
But then again.
You can't really get rid of evil when you have the Shinigami realm..

And see, I don't even believe in evil, so I could argue endlessly about this. XD Let's just say my Light is a good boy (or bad boy; whatever cranks your tractor), and leave it at that before I get too serious about this conversation. *pats Light's head*

Um... most people? o.0
Maybe at first. But by the time the FBI agents went after him he'd forgotten all his morals and he'd kill anyone just to keep himself in the clear.

Re: Death Note Battles
Yep.
Yeah, but that had to happen so that he could create his new world... Such small sacrifices aren't worth shying away from when it's the purity of the world you have in mind. It was ridiculously idealistic of him to think he could ever make such an accomplishment in the first place, but he still got further with his goal than anyone else could have.

Re: Death Note Battles
*reads over debate*
I still have to wonder ... As far as our knowledge goes Light was just some bored senior high school student with nothing to do, then he picks up the Death Note and suddenly feels like he has to be Superman? xD Ya know, I would have liked Light if it weren't for his delusions of being a deity. That was just a little bit too wacko for me to take pleasure in.
Plus, if he really was all that smart he would know that evil is something that just comes out of human nature. And if you're going to erase human nature, you might as well kill everybody off the bloody planet then—maybe barring one person, most likely himself. That would be erasing evil. Although, he was doing a pretty good job at killing every single innocent/guilty human off the face of the earth anyhow.
So ... In the long run, the only reason I don't like Light is because of his idiocy (not stupidity). xD

Re: Death Note Battles
See, that's the whole problem.
People see Light as just wanting to be god/superman... And well, maybe he did, but that was only an underlying goal. He ultimately just wanted the world to be a better place, and he felt that the Death Note was the perfect opportunity for him. No one else was doing anything about it, so he decided to give it a shot. He had the perfect weapon, and he was also the smartest student in Japan... And we all know how smart people from that continent generally are, due to the discipline. So it's safe to say he was probably up with at least the top 5 smartest people on earth. Could you really blame him for thinking he had the potential to save the world? And although the argument will always be used that the world will never be fully good... Then what are you saying? We should just fire the cops, all the detectives because there's always going to be crime anyway? Sure, he was taking it to the extreme... But in reality, he was just picking off everyone the cops either couldn't catch or wouldn't put to justice soon enough. It was wrong of him to kill innocent people, but really... 12+ FBI agents, a detective or two, a couple others... Big deal. There's like 6,697,254,041 people in the world; I think it will continue to thrive without maybe the 50 (at the most) innocents that he killed.
