WHY DOES EVERYONE APOLOGIZE?

To me, it does not make sense. Do they really mean it or are they saying it to get them off of their backs? Give me your honest answer on this blog right now.

Oh. Depends if they use an smiley faces, really. I know that sounds stupid, but it's the truth.

Like Leah said, usually if they don't use smiley faces they mean it because it sets a serious tone to the message. Like if I said,

I'm sorry. xDDD Can we make up?

You probably wouldn't believe it. But if I said,

Look ... I'm really sorry about what I said earlier. I had no idea that what I said earlier would offend you, let alone in such a harsh way, but now that I look back at the conversation I can tell it must have really hurt. *goes on to apologize about the entire situation*

That would be a bit more believable, wouldn't it? Because they also took the time to write more about their apologize, not just "dude i'm so sorry xP" I would have made that second quote bigger if I had a scenario planned out, but I didn't.

Yeah, Leah and Cyn are right - it's hard to tell what someone's real intention is over the internet, but like Cyn showed, it's possible.
