No One Is Perfect

The docile masses of an enslaved nation,
A long-suffering and uncomplaining wife,
A contender running a marathon in frustration
Wherever you go, you’ll find the way of life

Life is simply difficult, there’s no exult, and only disgrace
It’s as hard as getting blood from a stone
And you spend all of your time between that stone and another hard place

Some say life’s a bitter pill to swallow
Others say it’s a hard nut to crack
Others say that if you can’t stand the heat, you have to get out of the kitchen, away from the sorrow
But most people like me say that life reminds them of bacterial plaque

Not all women have an hourglass physique
A sunbeam likened smile
A lingering mystique
And manicured nails to file

Not all men are perfect, and are rather quite lame
There are many of them in the world,
Different, yet they're all the same
How often has one said “I love you”,
Then next week forgets your name!?

You fought for me when no one else could,
Refused to give up when others told you ‘you really should’
You packed a whole lifetime of love in these past years
Gave me strength to handle all of my fears
Showered me with courage—you said; “It's a loan”
While secretly hiding tears of your own
You've done everything I needed. I couldn't ask for much more
Since I started the job I was sent here to do
And planted a seed now residing in you
I'm sure I can trust you to carry my load
Please love me enough—enough to let me go

Each time we see someone’s picture,
They seem to smile and say,
“Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday.”

Not everyone is perfect... Not anyone is imperfect... But, thinking makes it so.

Uh, it took me at least three whole minutes to throw myself off of the ledge of the platform. It was so embarassing... You must've hid your fear far better than I did. D:

Plus, that wasn't beginner. That was Teen. We wouldn't survive Adult, because we're also too short for it. Margaret MAY be able too, though. But not us.

I was scared to death, though. But I tried to rush myself off the ledge.

And the first time, it was hilarious when you screamed. XD
