It was all frantic when there was screaming, almost to the extent to where I couldn't handle it. I bit my lower lip, avoiding to get all the other tears out of my eyes. Stay strong, I told myself. "I don't know. I guess I can only wish for the best," The tears shot down like a bullet escaping a gun. If Cody really knew what was going on, I was sure he would be angry, since, after all, he cared as if he was Antionette's father. And truly, that's just what she needed. Antionette was placed in a room, B48 to be exact. They lay her limp body on a hospital bed, where they stuck a shot into her body, it pouring out medicine for strength. What was I going to do? This was all too much. I never thought parenting would be this hard. Antionette, the sweet and innocent daughter I loved, didn't deserve this.

"You don't need to be strong right now. You can cry, you almost lost her." I said, embracing her into a tight hug. "Cry," I whispered, placing my chin ontop of hers and squeezing my eyes shut. "What happened?" I asked, not daring to look at Antoinette. "Can you guys go to the waiting room, she needs to be brought in a O.R." A scrawny, blonde nurse asked. I nodded and pulled Amanda away, walking to a chair and slumping into it.

I laid my face into the palms of my hands, crying. I tried not to look up, afraid of crying again. Crying was always a sign of weakness. I just acted as if I didn't hear his question, afraid to answer it. I pulled on the unzipped jacket, trying to keep it on my arm.

Pulling her into my lap, I wrapped my arms around her body, kissing her forehead. "What happened?" I repeated. Hours passed and I was loosing hope. Then, the same petite women came, in a light blue pants and shirt. "What?" I whispered. "S-She's okay. But she'll need to stay here for a week minimum. You may see her." She said as I stood up. "Come on," I said, squeezing Amanda's hand and walking to her room. Antoinette was dressed in a white pola-dot gown, a tube below her nose and her head patched up. She looked deathly pale.
