Give Up Lion?~

(( M&F death, blood, fights. None. Not so good, I'm just talking to a lion who got in a fight with another pride. The meaning I'll let you find on your own. Smile

))

Lonely king, are you alright?
Covered in blood, did you fight?
When they took your mother, did she cry?
Does the king wish, he too could die?
Did her blood fill you with pain, when they took her life,?
And did your pride fight, what about your wife?
Did your claws, pierce them deep,
And your bloody mane, shook in defeat.
Did it hurt, when they slaughtered your son,
Did they leave you alive, the last one?
Sad, your tears dry on the unforgiving sand,
I can help if you want, take my hand.
No? So you do wish to die, after that,
I see, no longer a lion, just a lonely cat.
Did it hurt my king, when they slashed your ears,
What happened to your pride, what about your tears?
And those golden eyes, when did they turn white?
Was it when you lost, was it in the fight?
What are you waiting for, may I wait too?
For the birds, waiting till they eat you?
I understand king, the flies picking at your blood,
No more beautiful sun rises, just your pride.
I guess they took that, even down to your sides,
Did they take your son, kill him before your eyes?
Did he cry out for you, did you help?
Is that the place, where your death was dealt.
Here they come king, look at your fate,
Did help come, just a little too late.
I'll lift my hand, and let you fade,
And there, in the blood, the king at last laid.

Yeah, I think it's my type of writing that could advance a bit right now. I have a story in mind for my next poem, but I don't want to mess it up.

Well, you can go ahead and write it but not post it and if you end up not liking it, redo it or try again later. If its another one about animals you could watch animal planet! They have some sad animal stories on there nod

and if its not about animals... watch animal planet anyway! It's beastly! Very Happy

Thats a good idea, I don't hate this poem though. It shows a lot, I just would have tossed it away if I didn't post it. I think I got my inspiration and writing back though. Smile
