Slippery Bone Island

"But I didn't protect you," he replied in an almost emotionless voice, staring at the blank wall ahead.

"Protect me..?" Aneseria repeated, slightly confused.

"Yes," he sighed, slumping down and resting his head on his paws, though he was now looking over at her again.

"I was standing there like a complete idiot while you got hurt. I don't like seeing you hurt."

"And why is that?" she asked, not minding it at all, though.

He wasn't very good at sharing his feelings, so Match went on the offensive side.

"Because! You're my alpha and if you get injured the whole pack will fall apart!"

But it wasn't the truth.

[[Back again for one reply. Possibly two.]]

"Right,.. I see then..." she replied simply, slightly dissapointed by his reply.

"Oh why is this so hard?!" He howled desperately, covering his ears up with his paws.

"Why's what so hard?" she asked, indeed confused.

"Telling you what I really think. I've lied so much it's not even funny." He growled, scrambling to his paws.

"A- And what do you really think?" she lead fea asked, curiously.

"I guess I'm starting to look at you as more than a friend," he admitted.

Aneseria carefully raised her good paw, and gently layed it on one of his. "It's hard to admit, but I think I feel the same," she murmured in a quiet tone, although she was smiling lightly.

He had been ready to scat and run far away, but Aneseria's reply glued him to to the ground. Match's ears pressed back against his head, but the scowl vanished from his face. "Really? I don't mean like best friends, either. I like you, Aneseria."

"Yes, and that's what I meant by it, as well." she replied. And without thinking once, nuzzled him lightly.

I like the new dog. He was sweet.

[Was that to Emerson, Rosebell?]

He was in utter shock, really. Was this Aneseria that he was falling in love with today the same one he had fought how long ago? Well, it didn't matter, did it? "You don't know how much you have managed to pull out of me. It must be a record," and he nuzzled her back.

(Ya.)

She laughed lightly, nuzzling him once more. "You don't know how much has changed, of me."

"I'm DarkStar but you can call me Maggie." I smiled

"Well, I think I know you well enough to say that you still won't back down from any battles, still." Match grinned. "Although that paw won't heal over night."

[I've over-used my wrist today and it's really bothering me]

Aneseria nodded. It was true that her paw wasn't to heal that soon. "But as long as your with me in the meantime, I'll be fine." she then glanced down, desperately meaning to ask him something. "And.. that's why I want you as... lead male. My... um... mate." she blushed savagely. She never expected herself to live under this emotion. Ever.
