I pulled of my old worn black tank top and jumped in the freezing water of the falls. It had been months since I had gone swimming. And it felt absolutely amazing. I came up for air and flipped my hair around like a dog. It flipped to one side of my head and felt cool against my forehead.

Leaning back, there was a large rock behind me. I put my weight on it and leaned back. The warm stone felt almost wierd to my back.

Violet heard a splash from the waterfall area. She thought it could be someone new possibly. Walking over there she saw some guy leaning against one of the rocks. "Isn't that cold?" Violet asked curiously, walking up the the water's edge.

"Yup..." I nodded, casually. I swam over to the edge of the lake and looked up at the girl. "But it's absolutely amazing." My shark tooth necklace showed well against my tanned skin, as apposed to a lighter color. "I'm Randy..." My hand stuck out of the cold water for her to shake it. She was honestly a very pretty girl.

"Yup..." he nodded and swam over to the edge. "But it's absolutely amazing," he added. Violet smiled slightly, tucking a lock of her black hair behind her ear. "I'm Randy..." he said, sticking his hand out to shake. "Violet," she replied, shaking his hand. You could see her scars on her arm, but she ignored them.

"Hey are you..? Uhh... nevermind..." I looked away. She had scars on her wrists. Was she emo? Because if she was, I could help. I had a brother that would cut himself. He actually ended up commiting suicide. I blinked away the thoughts.

"Hey are you..? Uhh... nevermind..." Randy began, but changed his mind. Violet noticed his eyes flash towards her arm. The scars were all over her arms, and some on her legs and back. But they were burn scars, and they were slightly faded but still noticable. "Am I what?" Violet asked, curious to see what he was gonna ask.

"What happened?" Randy asked. Violet pursed her lips, deciding if she should explain this. "I was at a party, back on Earth. And ya know, there were some drunk idiots around. And one of them set the place on fire. I couldn't get out, along with a few others," Violet explained, her mind remembering the dark day when she almost died.

"Wow.... I'm.... sorry I even asked..." he apologized. Violet smiled a bit. "It's cool. The scars make me unique," she smiled, looking at the pink lines across her arm. "And they remind me not to be stupid," Violet smirked.
