Monsters in the Closet

"I scare everyone," I replied, kicking my sleeping bag so it unrolled and flopping onto it. I pulled one of the ten or so hairties off my right arm, pulling my waist-length black hair into a ponytail to keep it out of my face. As was natural for me, I was being kinda anti-social.

I sighed and opened the door. I held up one hand like a gun. "Alright, now give me all your candy and sugar!" I started laughing.

(Eh, gotta go guys. Need to wake up at 8 to weed the garden. -.- Bullocks.)

I pulled a book out of my bag and settled myself on a random beanbag in the corner, beginning to read.

"Ah don't shoot Jessi, here some candy." I said, tossing her over a single peice of candy from a bowl full.

Cyn spun around at the demand and instinctively tossed a twistee of Smarties her way just before shouting, "Think fast, Jessirino!" That may have been the stupidest deed ever, but hey, why not. She'd asked for sugar, after all.

I glared at her but smiled still. "Aw, you people are no fun,"I said, plopping down on a beanbag chair. I unwrapped the piece of candy and ate it. I yelped in surprise as Cyn tossed candy at me. I laughed and caught it with my mouth. "You're gonna get it after you fall asleep, Cynnimon Toast Crunch," I chuckled with my mouth full.

I took a handful of candy out of a a clear glass bowl, and unwrapped a nice caramal candy. Licking my lips, I popped it in my mouth and smiled while I slowly chewed it.

With a wide grin on her face, Jaidis bounced in to the room - and quite literally bounced, seeing as she seemed to have springs on her feet in her excitement. "Oh, wow!" she exclaimed at the sight of all of the awesome people, quickly dropping her black-and-rainbow checkerboard sleeping bag's bag on the floor. "I didn't think that all of you would be here. Ave, whoa- you brought seven fiances? Really?"

I was barely paying attention, deep in my handheld gaming system, and then I heard Jaidis' commentary "Woah, wait, seven? I thought it was only five!" I looked up, wide eyed, and then snorted, bursting into laughter.

"I'm pretty sure that's seven there... Oooooooh, you're playing some really cool game!" She pranced over and plopped down beside Noah, peering intently at the screen as she reached into her bag with one hand and grabbed a chocolate-covered almond to munch on. "I knew I should have brought my Gameboy... darn."

"A pokemon game" I shrugged, grinning, popping another pretzal in my mouth "This DS is one of those..essentials I take on trips. Right there with my camera, phone, and something to draw on"

I smiled and rolled my eyes. "Y'all a are such goofballs." I reached foward and grabbed a handfull of candy, quickly eating it.

"JESSI!" I tackled my friend, not only from TWIG, from Facebook.

Shadow suddenly appeared in the corner - with her bag, of course - by magic. Her furtive eyes took in the scene, and she concentrated on making herself look as small as possible. She'd shown up so late that some paranoid part of her brain insisted she was no longer welcome; therefore, she figured that if she just waited until somebody noticed her - or forever - then she wouldn't get in trouble for it.

Suudenly, Lauren materializes. She dusts off her clothes and laughs, only because she is so epic. Then she realizes she is alone. Except for her dog, Juno. The frisky puppy explodes from the pillowcase it was brought in and chews off Shadow's second toe on her left foot.

Not even noticing the loss of her toe, Shadow let out a squeal of delight, eyes lighting up as she noticed the puppy. "It's a dog! Is it a boy? Can I marry him? Please?" she begged, trying to grab it.

(I almost spelled puppy 'poopy.' o_O)

"It be a female," Lauren replied in her best pirate-accent. "And that thar sea miscreant can be yours... for a price," she growled. The puppy galoofed (?) over to Shadow and playfully licked her fingers.

"Aw! I don't want it anymore!" Shadow whined. But she couldn't resist reaching out to pat the puppy on the head, even as she scowled.

"The price be.... one can of YooHoo!" Lauren squealed. She loved YooHoo. She loved that fake chocolate-vanilla drink more than anything. That was why she was wearing the shirt that said "YooHoo!" on it.

(truly I am, though. xD)

Shadow blinked, and within in instant she looked like the dude from The Scream. 'Yoohoo?' she thought. 'What is this?'

"I . . . um . . . how about something else?" she asked, grinning almost with guilt.

Lauren thought carefully. "Let me chew on the edge of your pillow, and we have a deal."

Her face composed itself into a hard, angry mask. "My pillow . . . you would eat MY pillow? THIS IS WAR!" She grabbed her pillow with a whoop, bring it down on top of Lauren's head.

I lifted my head up, sleep crawled into my eyes. "War?" I then perked up a little and brought a wooden sword from my bag. "War!" I yelled, and thrust the sword upwards.

Lauren returned the gesture, whacking Shadow with her sleeping tool. "Die, you non-supporter of pillow-eating!"
