Re: Recommended Songs
Y'all might think I'm the weirdest teen who's ever lived. But oh well. xD
Evanescence is a beautiful band. Goth and hard-rock, but beautiful. Maturity is low-moderate, for I've yet to catch any fowl language, but there's a lot of death stuff. Still beautiful...
Their best songs are Bring Me To Life, My Immortal, Lithium, and Everybody's Fool.
Journey's a '70s/'80s band, and even if they're old, they are an awesomo rock band. B) During the '70s they were more bluesy and instrumental, but once Steve Perry came along they went rock. Whatever your style, check 'em out. Some of their best songs are Don't Stop Believin', Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), All The Way and Send Her My Love.
Oh, and you probably all know this one already, but check out Bon Jovi too. xD Runaway, Livin' On a Prayer, and Who Says You Can't Go Home are my faves.
Both of their maturities are moderate, since I've heard one bad word in their music, and it's fairly mild, but still swearing.
For country people: SUGARLAND! Twangy, a little poppy, but still very very country. It Happens, Joey, Genevieve and Baby Girl are probably my faves of theirs.
Maturity is low-moderate. Once I heard a swear word, but otherwise, awesome.
Pop: Um... Don't ask me. Pop is my area of hate, barring Jennette McCurdy. xD
Maturity is low.
R&B: Again, you're out on your own here, but here I at least like a little bit from different artists.
Alternative: Kelly Clarkson's one.... And I can't think of others, but there are a lot of awesomo alt people out there. x]
Maturity is low-moderate. Once or twice I caught a bad word.
Any other genre, I'm not sure if I can suggest, but... Yeah, hehe.

Re: Recommended Songs
Hmmm...
Lemme think...
*wracks brain for clean music*
I really like ASL by I Set My Friends on Fire.
Maturity: Like lowish. No swears, but talk of death.
Genre: Screamo, apparently. I'd call it like alternative, though. There IS screamo in it, I s'pose, but I would really only consider things like Back Burner by August Burns Red screamo, 'cause it's pure screamo.
Recommended 'cause it's ballin'.
Then there's Young by Hollywood Undead.
Maturity: Lowish. Says the "d" word a few times, but that's it.
Genre: Rapcore.
I love this song. It's like all the words I wanted to say but never could... O.o
And The Loss by Hollywood Undead.
Maturity: Highish. Uses the F word a few times but not in a nasty way, if ya know what I mean. Talks about suicide.
Genre: Rapcore.
I recommend this one because J-Dog puts so much emotion into his raps. My Black Dahlia is even more emotional, but they use the F word in a nasty way, so yeah.
Also, Undead by Hollywood Undead. (CLEAN VERSION!!!)
Maturity: Um, it's really violent. Not so bad with all the censors, though. XP So like medium.
Genre: Rapppcccooorrreeee.
I love this one because I like the fact that unlike most celebrities, they acknowledge the fact that there are people out there who hate them. The song's basically about what they do to haters...
Also, Make it Mine by Jason Mraz.
Maturity: Low, I think.
Genre: Um... Mellow. Easy-going, feel-good music.
I recommend this one because it's really soothing.

I love Evanescence. It's one of my favourite bands but you basically recommended all the songs I would. I really like Going Under too, though.Cyn431 wrote:Y'all might think I'm the weirdest teen who's ever lived. But oh well. xD

I like Green Day. I meant that in a maturity-wise way. Like, compared to HU, they would be rated G. XP

Got Dynamite - Demi Lovato.
ML (I don't feel like writing out the words, lol.) - low
This is awesome, it's different from Demi's style, but that's why I love it!

Re: Recommended Songs
I recommend American Ride by Toby Keith. THe maturity level isn't bad if you have the censored version, but the uncensored has the a word in it... lol. It's really just a fun song, and I've gotten sorta addicted to it lately. O_0

Man, I don't like that version of Picture to Burn. xD There is a better version, so ya know; I keep forgetting what it says, but it doesn't say that
Oooh, I love that song Ari! It's my theeeeme.

Re: Recommended Songs
I've never heard the original version. Apparently the radio stations changed it. The altered lyrics are:
Tell your friends that I'm obsessive and crazy
That's fine, you won't mind if I say
And by the way
[chorus]
Etcetera etcetera.

I love the original version. XP It's epic. Unfortunately, I don't think it would be appropriate to post what the original version is. Because, it has to do with... Things some people are against.

Re: Recommended Songs
Nononono. The weird version isn't the original, it's the altered. Cus I have the official sheet music and the lyrics book from the CD, and both of them are the non-weird version.
Haha, I'm just arguing this cus I really don't think TS woulda done those lyrics of her own choice. >.>
Guess what, though? xP I heard the weird version while listening to my friend's MP3 with the tempo sped up as fast as it would go! And I still caught the weirdness! o.0
