Where do you get your 'reading genes' from?

The title explains most of this thread.
What side of your family likes to read? Who doesn't? Are you the only one who enjoys it?

Here is my story;

I definitely do not get my reading genes from my dad. The last time he completed a book was 3 years ago. He reads 0-1 book a year.Pretty sad, huh?
My mom reads a lot. Big mystery novels. I get my reading genes from her.

I think both sides like to read, but probably my dad's. My dad's fam likes to read, but my mom likes to read, too.

I think both. My parents like to read, but they don't really have the time. I think it would be mostly my dad's family, though, cuz a lot of my family members from his side read a lot.

Umm . . . I don't know who I got it from. XD Maybe my mom, but she's not as much of a reader as I am.

I'm the only one who's an avid book reader. My mom read books, but they're in a different language and i can't understand xD

My mom reads magazines a lot. Does that count? XD

I don't know, really....
My dad doesn't seem to read much... but we have a library in my house, with ALL of the books he read in law school.
My mom reads every night before she goes to sleep.

My Dad kinda reads but mainly my mom.

My mom, for sure. She loves to read, and so do I. My sister and dad don't. I feel bad for them - books are too good to miss out on.

My mom hates to read. xD But my dad reads only really boring stuff. So... IDK.

My mom's side, I believe. I'm not sure about the rest of her family, but my mom reads ALL the time. She never watches TV, she just reads. I don't read as often as I used to, though.

I think it's a mutation for me. XD. Well... u know what I mean... my dad's not a huge reader and neither is my mom really. besides my cousin, sydney, no one in my family really IS a reader...

Mom's side, for sure. Dad takes ten minutes just to read four sentences, so yeah... xD

I get it from my dad.

Here's my story:

My dad works 10 hours a day. Works around the house. Yet, he still finds time to read at least 2 books a day! How????? It completely blows my mind! He's probably my "reading" hero! LOL

I know! How does he do it? I think he might be able to freeze time! LOL
