I paused on the way back, noticing a small clump of horsetail. The medicine cat might want some. I quickly tugged up a few stems and hurried after Pricklestar.

He glanced at her when he noticed the stems, wondering what she was doing with horsetail. But right now he had to do the ceremony. "Shadowpaw, please come forward."
