Grammar
Hey It's me. I have one little dislike about the site right now.
That'd be grammar. Not everyone is like this, but I'm noticing that some of the newer members are doing this. I know that posts can go quick, but please, if you wouldn't let your English teacher see the sentence, please make it better.
It doesn't take much time to capitalize the first word, and read though it once again. Mozilla firefox even has a spell checker which you can see in posts. Punctuation is also something that's being missed out, so please check that.
We're a writers' site, so I don't think that we should be having to remind each other to use good grammar and spelling. I'd understand it on a chatspeak-y site, but not here.
It's especially important on stories, but on all your posts
Thank you
Arianna

Re: Grammar
I definitely agree. Please try to do your best spelling and using grammar and punctuation because sometimes people can't read what others are saying.

Re: Grammar
I agree. I've been seeing this far too much, and from this point on there's going to have to be some sort of punishment for this if I see it in the majority of anyone's posts. (For roleplaying and stories though, not so much, since that'll reflect the rest of their posts.) At least for the users that have been here for longer than a week or two, anyway. Consider this your warning, peeps.
Re: Grammar
Ya, I went into the Feedback section to look for this thread and then I was like "Where did it go?!" xD

Re: Grammar
xD Lawl, yeah.
Oh, and as an add-on to my post - I understand if it's hard for younger people. But some of the ones I've seen doing this have their age set as thirteen or something around there. I think that if you're that old, you should definitely be able to avoid most mistakes. So the only exceptions will be for younger users.

Re: Grammar
Yeah but I think the youngest on this site is like 10-11 or somewhere around there.

Re: Grammar
I agree, my sister is 9 and she uses pretty good grammar, better than some of the older users I've seen. It's hard to read sentences with tons of misspellings.

Re: Grammar
Yep. Also, some of the run on - and on and on - sentences get on my nerves Punctuation, people!

Re: Grammar
Wow. I really think that people should take the extra few seconds to make their posts good
Re: Grammar
Yeah, I agree. Congrats on getting your thread in the Announcements section, Arianna.

Re: Grammar
I agree with you about people not having proper grammar and punctuation. I was actually thinking I'm just being a grammar Nazi and a perfectionist about it, though xD It gets on my nerves, because I have a hard time reading it. Even if it's just the punctuation, I still have a hard time reading it...Yeah...I'm weird XD.
Now, I'll be using wrong grammar sometimes, but that's only if I want people to know the message was said in an accent or something.

Re: Grammar
Okay, let's calm down. (We're getting to the point of making fun of them, and I don't think that's nice. Let's keep this a little nicer, please)
Yes, I agree, grammar is an issue.
(Please don't post examples though, even if you think it's funny, someone who does it may think you're making fun of them, that's all.)

Re: Grammar
No, I'm glad you posted this, I think it's an issue, and it needs to be resolved, I just don't want to see it turned into a free-for-all of making fun of some of the younger members, or the older members who don't use fantastic grammar.
Re: Grammar
I agree. I mean, if you're just being hyper or whatever and you do a post or two with purposefully bad grammar or something, that's fine (at least, I hope it is - I do it sometimes. XD) but if it's all the time it really gets on my nerves.
