I had to write this down. An idea popped into my head and my fingers just wrote...Inspired by today's events in my life. Enjoy.

Sitting here,
Just staring at the phone.
Wondering,
Are you even home?
Do you care?
Do you think?
Do you even know?

You cause my
Heart to flutter,
Eyes to mist.
Palms to sweat,
Chest to ache.
And you don't seem to care.
I know,
For sure,
That love sucks.

Pick up the phone,
Dial your number.
Of course all I get
Is a recording.
With a groan,
I hang up.
And start to cry, because,

You cause my
Heart to flutter,
Eyes to mist.
Palms to sweat,
Chest to ache.
And you don't seem to care.
I know,
For sure,
That love sucks.

And why?
Why was it me?
Why do I have to fall for you?
I know we'll never be,
I know we'll never be.
But don't you care enough?
Care enough to check up on me?
Or would picking up the phone really kill you like we joked?

You cause my
Heart to flutter,
Eyes to mist.
Palms to sweat,
Chest to ache.
And you don't seem to care.
I know,
For sure,
That love sucks.

So now as I sit here,
Tear stains on my cheeks.
Stomach continuously churning,
Chest knotting up.
I think of you.
And despite all the grief you cause me,
And even though you'll probably never know,
I love you.
And I know,
For sure,
That love sucks.
