Story Empty Story

I'm writing a story and I'm trying to make each chapter atleast 5 pages long on Word. So far, I only have 1970 words. (4 pages in the format I have the story in). I slowly lose interest in my stories normally, because I try to make it longer. Do you guys have any ideas to help me write it all the way through, without stopping the story?
This story is just supposed to help me improve my writing skills, so it's nothing to worry about. I'm attempting to make it 50 pages long, atleast. (I will probably FAIL at this project, but if you have any ideas for me on my problem, please post it! Very Happy)

Well, what I do is if I need to start a new part but the chapter isn't 'long enough,' I put this in:

* * *

That way, I can start that new section without having to end the chapter too soon. Smile

Do not try to lengthen the chapters by adding more details and stuff - yet. Save that for the editing, and just work on getting the actual story out in a way that's more natural for you. Otherwise, you probably will get bored.

Good luck! Smile
