You Are the Only One « finished Empty You Are the Only One « finished

You Are the Only One « finished Onlyone1copy
Together on the front line

Look me in the eye

Tell it straight to my face

Walking down the hall, I catch his eye.
He avoids me as always, not wanting to talk about us.
My heart breaks when he turns on his heel and starts down the opposite way.

Are we going to work it out

Or pack it in

I guess this is the chance we take

I won’t let him do this to me.
I need to stand up for myself and for us.
I run after him and reach up to jerk his shoulder back.
His eyes avoid mine as I turn him around to face me.

'Cause you are the only one

That gets me

Knows me

Feels me

Has me

When I force him to look at me, his eyes hold mine in a horribly cliché moment.
Suddenly, he pulls me towards him in a kiss that takes my breath away and
I know that I will never love anyone except him.

And you are the only one

Who's close enough

To drive me crazy

Our embrace lasts even after the kiss has ended and I am crying into his shoulder
now with his arms around me.
He holds me tight and whispers that he loves me.
At that moment, the world stood still and I desperately wanted that moment
to last forever.

Frustrate me

Complicate me

Make it harder than it needs to be

As suddenly as he was kissing me,
he seemed to be pushing me away.
His arms let go of me and he says that this is not right and
he makes me feel stupid for trying.

But the things that you do

And the things that you say

Make me want to stay

But I refuse to leave.
I know somehow that I will triumph in the end, so I stay.
I stay, and wait for the next time that we get to share an embrace.
