Fear- By ME

It started off with an attempt at just fear itself. It ended up turning into fighting fear, an imaginary.. thing that plants fear, and everything. This is a rather unhappy poem.
MATURITY-...10+ It's not really scary.. it's just.. about fear.
FANTASY- A creepy "thing" that plants fear.

It creeps up behind you
When you’re unaware.
It snatches you when you’re blind.
It is so unfair.

It's unlike all others
You don’t even stand a chance.
It just smothers
A small piece of fear it plants.

The fears grows
Within the brain and heart.
It spreads from head to toes
Fear in every part.

It continues all day and night,
But, you still attempt to fight.
The fear stays within you.
And now fear is always in sight.

With your eyes closed
You still see it standing near.
Can’t do what you’re supposed
Because of the fear


(I would do "supposed to" but then it wouldn't rhyme well. )

Ooh, I really like it! I don't think it's horrible(like you said in the description)- it depicts fear really well. It really gives me an image of what fear would look like if it was a living/breathing thing...
