Fear, Faith, & Philosophy

It's times like this, when it's easy to see
Where the seeds of your current philosophy
Were sewn into your life that day
Where pain and fear pushed friends away

Back in those days when all we had to say
Were a few little words to end any dismay
Remind yourself that at least you're alive
That'd be enough to regain faith to survive

In the world you can always find the ones
That do not know what they have become
The ones that would risk their lives, maybe die
To feel again the exitement of staying alive

To run away when things start to get bad
To hide in a corner when I start to feel sad
But you're alwasy going to hear the knock at the door
Calling you to run and play and explore

Who am I to judge what happened back then
I want to make sure it doesn't happen again
Who am I to trust in what doesn't seem clear
I don't want to flee from what they could call fear
