The Music in Me
Welcome. You have now entered the life of Emma Sterling (this is not my last name, it's the second word of my first name). I'll give you somewhat of an introduction so you might know what to expect.
1. I'm a strong Christian, Methodist to be exact.
2. A lot of my life focuses on music. Like, MAJOR. That IS my whole life pretty much. I play flute and piccilo in my band. I've been first chair all year except twice when I didn't try/forgot what I was doing in the middle of my test. Smooth right? And don't get me wrong, I work for my position. Very hard.
3. You'll be hearing a LOT about a boy named PJ. He's my crush/ex. and plays bass clarinet. He's a year older than me and he moved to a different school this year. Not different district, but school. And I've liked him since March 2009. So in a couple of months it'll be a whole year of liking him. And that's a new record for me. Hmph.
4. You might also hear about Trey and Hunter. They both play trumpet. Everybody who is close to me always says that Trey and I will become a thing sometime or another. But neither Trey or I don't see it. And Hunter is a year younger than me, and I think he's cute. In a litte kid way that is. But maybe I might get around to liking him some time or another.
5. On to besties. There's Sumer, Jackie, Sarah, and Hayley. But in truth, Jackie tops all, and she's my neighbor. You'll hear stuff about them a lot.
Today is my birthday! Whoo! I'm spending it chillin' with Jackie soon. That's gonna be pretty fun. But i also need to get some practicing in! I have a flute lesson tomorrow, and region is in two or three weeks! I'm pretty nervous for that. Hah, no pressure or anything. I want to place third chair or up. But whatever we make at region is our chairs locked in for the rest of the year. Like I said, no pressure.
I'm expected to do really well since I creamed a bunch of high school flutes at their own game. Well I'm in eighth grade and i tried out on the all-state music at district and made sixth ou of fifteen. I got to advance to region and I made fourteenth out of forty, and missed advancing to area by one. That still bothers me. But I'm going to try and make state next year. I know that it's really rare for a freshman to, but, i'm going to try. And because of that, the high school director has pretty much gauranteed second chair for me next year. And lucky for me, first chair is Jackie! My bestie!
New Years Resolutions:
1. Be a better Christian.
2. Get on TWG and WI more. Mainly TWG...
3. Practice flute more.
4. Survive Algebra.
