There was a flash in Cara's eyes, and suddenly her hand left Zack's. "What the hel-" He exclaimed, but there was another flash and he disappeared, also.

There was a flash in my eyes. I couldn't see a thing.

Everyone dissapeared. I screamed. But then there was a flash of light.

Cara opened her eyes and she was standing in the same shack, but it was dark and it smelled like rust.
"Wh-what the *heck* was that?" Zack stuttered.

Cara sniffed the air. "That's blood." She gasped.
Zack grabbed her shoulder. "What?! How do you know!?"
Her breathing quickened. "Remember that year when Ruthie split open her knee?"
Zack nodded, remembering the day when Cara had told them her little sister was in the hospital.
"Well, the smell of blood was etched into my brain, and this smell is blood!"

Cara looked and blood splattered onto the window. She screamed as Zack placed his hand over her mouth.
