Long thread titles

I've noticed that when making a topic, you can have long thread titles, but then after a little while it'll just cut it off, even if you put it back. But I've seen a bunch of threads with long, full titles. Is there some way to keep it long, or is it just random?

There is a character limit for the titles; I'm not sure how this kicks in, exactly, so I can't say whether it tells you the title is too long or if it takes effect by just cutting off the title like this. xD

While the title will be able to be seen in its entirety on the first post of the thread, anyway, any replies to it and the title in the open forum will be cut off, as you're seeing. The best way to counteract this is to put some things in the description if you can.

But I usually have the maturity/fantasy ratings in the description.

Well, what I usually do is like this:

Title: Mr. Fish
Description: {Finished story - hope you like it!} Maturity: Blah • Fantasy: Whatever

There's a limit for the description, too, but yah. xD At least then you can fit more if you need to.
