Do not sit and cry, my darling
Time will heal all
Look around and watch the leaves change color
Then slowly, gently fall

Oh, darling, do not be sad
The world is full of joy
Look around and see the beauty
That captures each girl and boy

I know times are tough for you
But darling, please just smile
I miss that sparkle in your eyes
It has been gone quite a while

I will plant a flower for you, darling
Though you will never see
It will grow so strong and lovely
So gorgeous and so free

Please wipe that frown off your face
Darling, it breaks my heart
Just seeing you so sad and lonely
Makes me fall apart

I never, ever meant to leave you
But I watch from above
So think of me and dry your tears
My dear darling, my sweet love
