Make a Change

A blade of grass
A single tree
Some take these for granted
Some just don't see

The beauty of an empty field
Or a majestic forest scene
It seems no one really cares
About keeping the Earth green

Those who care seem too young
To help in any way
Though every little thing you do
Can help day after day

So we can't all go plant a tree
But there IS something we cando
Just reduce, reuse, and recycle
It's simple for me and you!

Reduce waste in the world
Reuse what you can
Recycle everything you should
That's the action plan

Reduce water usage
By taking shorter showers
5 or 10 minutes is plenty of time
Don't stand there for hours

Reuse things like plastic bags
Or a nice glass jar
It may not seem like much
But it can go very far

Recycle paper and plastic and glass
Don't throw it all away
Label bins for each thing
And follow it day by day

It may seem like a waste of time
But if you're in hearing range
Listen when I ask for help
You can make a change
