Tally was simply by herself. She sat, ankles crossed, at a table. She hadn't been that happy lately, nor in a very good mood in general. Part of the reason; her brother, Rayray, had gone missing. Well, not missing, just...
She hadn't heard from him in weeks, and it was starting to unnerve her. On top of that, she was just feeling lonely. Thinking too much her her past.
She sipped from her coffee and then felt her heart ache. She touched her chest gently, and winced, mumbling, "Jasmine..." She shook her head, inhaled deeply, and sipped again. "It's okay, Talls," she told herself. "It's okay, just, relax."

[*sigh* Yes. JASPER SCHOOL!!!]

Luke was sighing, lying his head on the table at home. He didn't seem to have anything anymore- his sister had deserted him years ago, his (ex)- girlfriend was dead, and he was alone, a fifteen year old. Well, by looks- he was really about a hundred and seven, but who really cared? All he knew was that life wasn't turning out the way he had hoped.
Not that he had wanted to be a vampire or anything. It had kinda just happened. To go back to that day.... he didn't know if he wanted to or not. If he had the choice? He wouldn't know.
Lizzy was in the forest, as usual. However, today, she was perched in a tree, watching the forest floor below her with precision. It was her job to catch all the mindless humans that wandered through the woods, just waiting to be preyed upon. She was the predator and they were the prey- or would it be she was the parasite and they were the host? Or did it matter? Vampires weren't in science textbooks- none of the usual organism-to-organism relationships seemed to fit. But she was proud of who she was.
A vampire.
A parasite.
A predator. A vampiric parasitic predator. Who needed blood now.
I was walking in the forest quietly, my feet crunching a few leaves as I climbed up a tree. My best friend in the entire world, Heather, was going to meet me here in a few minutes to work on our Science homework but for right now, I was completly alone. Excellent. I started to write in my journal, kind of bored as I waited for Heather to arrive and sit next to me. I was doodling now, just random lines all over the page- oops. I had let my mind wander again. Since I had a firm grip, it was deeply imprinted, so I jsut tore out the page and stuffed it into my pocket.

Tally felt a lurching sensation in her stomach and she stood. She couldn't take it anymore--she just, she couldn't! She stormed towards the door and let her hand rest on the handle. She twisted--
And then suddenly she was in a heap on the floor by the window, sobbing. She'd promised Raymond she'd wait until he got back to leave, but for what now?
For absolutely nothing. He'd been gone for so long, and she hadn't seen a living--or dead, for that matter--creature in so long. Too long.
She rose to her feet and picked up her coffee mug. With amazing skill, she threw her coffee cup at the door. It shattered instantly, creating an artistic splatter of liquid and ceramic shards. For a moment, she stood staring at it in disbelief. Then she screamed and stomped her foot like a deranged two year old.

{YES! xD So for now I'll just use My Luke.}

Luke was of course in the forest as well. Where else would he be? He's always there, he can't help it; he had/has/will always have a strong affiliation to nature.
The man was crouched in a bush, waiting like a cat for a mouse. You could call him a man, I suppose, or just an old-looking boy. But in reality, he was very old--even older than Amanda's Luke. Several hundred years old, and by now he had stopped counting.
But that didn't matter at the moment anymore, because suddenly, something was stirring.

[I need to add in myself. xD}

I landed next to Amanda; yes, landed. I'm like that, hardly ever graceful, especially when I try to be. "Hi," I said, my voice a little edgy as I rubbed my wrist. I'd landed on it when I'd "sat" down next to her. "Wazzup, man?" I glanced at her, eyes clouding with tears. I can't handle pain well.

Tally jumped a good six inches into the air in surprise, cutting off her scream by shoving her hand over her mouth. She didn't appear to be that much older than the boy, in fact, maybe she was even a little younger--look-wise. The glint in her eyes, a slightly crazed, very serious one showed she was ancient in her mind.
She slowly backed away from the door. Then, she snorted under her breath. "What am I doing?" she whispered. "What if it's Rayray?" She ran towards the door for a moment, forcing herself to pause.
Again she touched the handle. "Who is it?" she demanded, getting ready to tear the door off the hinges if it was her brother.

I laughed. "When I'm a teacher," I told her, "I will never, ever give my students hardly any homework." I nodded and ran my fingers through my hair. "Uhhh...Why don't we study? I'll quiz you?" I held out my hand. "Gimme the vocab or something, and I'll quiz you," Since I barely know it myself, I added in thought sheepishly.

Luke witnessed this. It made him curious about this girl, this woman, this...creature, this vampire. He stayed perfectly hidden, perfectly still, perfectly silent.
Sticking to the shadows--and practically becoming one himself--he followed her until he was perched a few branches above she. Silently, presuming he was still undetected, he observed her. "Interesting...." The word was barely spoken, and if at all audible, it was nothing but a purr.

[reply tomorrow- bedtime. ]

Luke didn't even jump. Slowly his gaze fell on her hand. He shifted, and raised his arm slowly, and soon he was prying her fingers off as if dusting away a stray fuzzy. "My name is Lucas Sage," he whispered, his eyes staring into hers fearlessly. "And my purpose?" A chuckle rumbled in his throat. "Why, I have many purposes, Madame."

I inhaled deeply, standing and saying, "Alright. Here, I'll play teacher. You must now call me Mrs. Sparrow." I gave her a smug grin. I could picture myself when I got older, Mrs. Sparrow, the most brilliant teacher/author/music writer/photographer. Then again, I was a really bad multitasker, so I was pretty sure all I'd amount to be was a teacher. Not that I minded that at all.
"What is the definition of prey?" I asked, looking at her expectantly.

Tally couldn't handle waiting a second longer. She ripped the door open wiht a flick of her wrist. Before the door's handle smacked into the wall she saw it wasn't her brother.
There was a crack and the door tilted slightly to one side. She glanced at the hinges; one of them was now disconected from the door. She smiled sheepishly and looked up at him. "Uhmm...." She rubbed the back of her neck.

[Dude... I gotta headache... reply later.]
