We are broken from the start
Only God can heal our hearts
But they have to be surrendered
In order to be mended

Only the one who created us can
Bring us back to life again
Stay where you are, He'll meet you there
Don't run away, I promise you He cares

We are suffocating in our sin
Stop and let His grace come in
Hope will flood your life
It's so different from the strife

We're broken, me and you
But we are beautiful, too
God can put the pieces back
You won't slip through the cracks

Your old self will disappear
You'll be new and without fear
You'll still be a little broken, that's how we are
Just know that you are beautiful, even with your scars
