A few (too many) ideas

Well, I have some more ideas for the site. I have my own forumotion site, which I pretty much abandoned about half a year ago, which I've been testing on, so I have some ideas.

• The front page could have the newsletter on it
  

This could be achieved using this: http://help.forumotion.com/tricks-tips-f32/html-homepage-t6589.htm tutorial.

• We could have profile fields like Main RP Character, Time Online, or Nickname.
  

Now this can be achieved by going to Admin Control Panel >> Advanced (if you haven't got it already on) >> Users and Groups >> Profiles >> Add >> And then whatever you'd like, in this case a text field.

• We could change the percentage of the page that the forum takes.
  

Now I know that this might seem silly, but for those of us with wider screens, its really really hard to follow a story because the lines are so long (they hold about 50 words). Perhaps we could make it a set pixel length of about 800? This could be achieved by going to Forum >> Configuration and then scrolling down to "Page Structure" and then changing "Forum Width" to 800 or 900.

Cool ideas! I also wish we could customize our own profiles.

The newsletter thing would be awesome!! Pugs wanted to make a newspaper, maybe she could be in charge or a newsletter and some people could be writers for it!!!

Yep, we're already working on the newsletter (or newspaper, call it what you like =)) but there aren't many options to have everyone view it efficiently, so this would be the best.

1. x3 Lol, I love how you're posting exactly how to do all this. Cus while I could do it myself eventually, this makes it way easier! So anyway, yeah. I've been wanting to activate the portal for a while, so when I do, and when there's a newsletter, I'll definitely put it in there!

2. Those sound awesome, too. I think I'll do the nickname one, but the other ones for now I'm gonna pass on, just cus I don't wanna overload myself and everyone else with new stuff within an hour of me being back. xD

3. Hmm. I'll check this out and if it works better, I'll switch it. xD But I wasn't aware of that at all, so I can't guarantee anything.
