He died to save his best friend and I admire him more than anything in the world. I can't stop crying and I don't know if I ever will. He was like my brother, but so much closer...]

My hair was in fresh blonde curls, swept over one shoulder, with just the perfect amount of glossiness. My eyes were trimmed with a black liner and coated with mascara and grey eyeshadow. White spring heels(the kind with the wooden bottom) were on my feet, along with a fresh layer of peach lipstick on my lips.

"Ready?" I asked, picking up my white clutch, as I headed for the door.

"Okay, cool," I called from the other room, looking for the red box. Finally I found it and picking it up, I headed towards the door. "Ready?" I asked, looking down at what I was wearing. Black board shorts and an orange hoodie. Pretty simple, but it was just a pool/beach party, right?

I opened the door for her, ready to leave. I wondered how long it had been or if she had met someone else, but I didn't bother to ask. Was it really worth it?
